Thanks a ton for the responses guys! The comments have been very helpful. I've decided to proceed with Karol Bagh.

A good option that.

A gratuitous advice. Boarding at Karol Bagh metro station can get a little challenging during office hours due to the crowding at this point, but I think can be addressed by waiting for a 6-coach train and boarding one of the last two coaches. (Presently, the rolling stocks on this line are either 4-coach or 6-coach. About every 2nd/3rd rolling stock is 6-coach. And the frequency of the service is very good.)

I find it too good to be true. Can any of bhpians suggest if this is a good option.

I did a dummy booking with the information below and it indeed says Rs. 795 -- Too good to be true!

Last Minute Discount - Delux(NON AC) Room For Occupancy Double Price - 795 INR

It also says - Capture our guests' privacy with LCD option in every room! :O

Hotel Accommodation in Delhi

Friends,

I am planning a 4N/5D sightseeing tour of Delhi, right after Diwali. I am looking for help in choosing a hotel to stay. I am traveling with family, 2 kids in tow. Hence I am looking for a decent hotel with many eating options nearby. This will (potentially) allow me to choose different types of food for the kids everyday.

Appreciate your help!!

You might be able to find hotels across the spectrum - from 1K per room night to 25K per room night & even higher. Depends on how much is your budget.

Both Paharganj and Karol Bagh are close to Cannaught Place and there is lot of variety of food in these areas. Paharganj will be too crowded. Prefer Karol Bagh for your stay as it will have almost all varieties of food within 4-5 kms of radius.

Please check the hotel rooms and tariff etc. before making any bookings.

Cheers!

@Irish, thanks! Karol bagh it is going to be.
@anuj, yes, I realized that I had not mentioned the budget. It would be ~5k per night or thereabouts...

Mods, thanks for putting the question in the right thread.

Thanks mate. No problem if the rates are old . I was going through the posts and came across this one. I will keep it in my records for my next trip.

Re: Accommodation in Delhi: Auto Expo (Pragati Maidan) & Elsewhere

I am relocating to New Delhi for higher studies.
Can you guys provide me some good PG accommodations to stay in New Rajendra Nagar.
I don't want to spend much as I will not be working.
