Re: Bad Drivers - How do you spot 'em

Spotted on Sarjapur Road. Auto stacked with goods in the front & back seats; 2 guys hanging from one side precariously. I followed this auto for 5 minutes. The auto was being driven so rashly that the 2 hanging guys were saved by mere inches from hitting other cars at least 10 times.

On a lighter side ( sadly not for the driver). This is what i feel like doing to those perennial honkers on the road.

Re: Bad Drivers - How do you spot 'em

There are people in perennial hurry. A guy who didnt know how to use his blinkers and his horn, overtook me from my left, cutting across two other vehicles and then cutting me off. All the 3 of us braked together and got a earful of honking from the impatient people behind us. All this in front of the L&T campus to DLF IT Park stretch. Whoever you are, you were lucky today as there wasnt much traffic there. Hope you see this thread, Mr Red I20.

Excellent. I love the way she just walks off without even looking back .

Goodness, though, that mechanism is over-sensitive isn't it?

One of the reasons I try NOT to drive during peak hours. A good seat and nice AC is a top class combination to sleep peacefully at a long signal / jam.

So today evening I had stopped at a signal and something caught my eye in the Civic next to me.
The owner had fixed a nice 7 inch tablet on the dashboard above the ac vents and was happily watching comedy nights with kapil, while driving! Beat that.
And there was no passenger in the car.

How about people using rear view mirror for watching movies !. I had an opportunity to watch almost 20 odd minutes of movie while driving behind an Alto in ORR and it was distracting even for me, forget about the driver.

So this fortuner was following me from alka talkies chowk till tvs service centre at karvenagar. On the busy shastri road this guy kept honking and bullying 2/3/ Small 4 wheelers. He turns right at the lokmanya nagar signal and I overtake him on the road before mhatre bridge. There was no space for me to move in my lane as there was a lot of traffic. All this time he was madly honking and kept his headlamps on highbeam. I indicted twice with my hands to put it on low beam. Nothing changed. Finally after the mhatre bridge he overtook me on the dp road and was troubling others. There was a little traffic after which I overtook him and something went seriously wrong. First he tried to push me
On the right. Then cut across me and overtook an auto. I immediately asked my brother sitting behind to click a pic of the fortuner. Next time I spot this guy I surely am going to block him and put my bikes projectors on high beam and blind him. Looking at the number plate I had quiet guessed the category he belongs to!
Off lately I feel like I should quit biking. Thanks to these idiots!

Sorry to say this, but after reading your post it felt like you were asking for trouble. You already saw his antics on the road, then why didn't you avoid him?

It's not worth putting your life in danger to teach some lessons to a moron.

Well my father says the same thing. I really feel bad when I see people unnecessarily breaking rules. Our generation has gone to dogs. I can see the future for my own children 10 years down the line. People feel honoured when they break rules.
Anyway I am trying not to react with such loosers on the road. It has reduced from verbal conversation to honking and flashing lights. Don't take the visor up at all. Helps me controlling my mouth. Anyway will take care next time!
Thanks

Re: Bad Drivers - How do you spot 'em

Yesterday came across two hooligans in Pimpri-Chichwad area. They were riding an old Royal Enfield and they were creating a very loud explosion from the silencer every now and then. I was trailing them for some time, I could see a spark coming from the silencer and a loud explosion followed. They created this noise at an underpass, where it is dark and the noise was much louder than a fire cracker. My daughter got frightened and she was totally silent till we reach home. They were enjoying the reaction of others. What to call those idiots...?

I don't know if these are the same guys but 3 months back I had gone to get a free flow exhaust for my bike from nigdi. While I was returning back there was a guy on some very old bullet who was unnecessarily making noise in the underpass and at the signals later. When he heard my FFE I don't know how his ego was hurt he just kept pulling the throttle and did not let me overtake. Finally I was able to overtake him in a tunnel when he was busy showing off. Again he caught up with me At the signal and was giving me bad stares, Full time pulling the throttle and creating a ruckus. I mean we are caught with FFE's having mufflers/db killer and these people are never caught. This is really frustrating.
