Re: BYD Dolphin Plus scores 5-star rating in Latin NCAP crash tests

Half-hearted applause

Most of Latin America gets the shorter China-spec Dolphin GS which has a different structure and no ADAS. I am a little surprised at Latin NCAP celebrating the result so much without testing that.

The tested model is the Dolphin Plus which is only sold in Brazil. It is the longer Euro/AU version which was designed for five stars and has additional crash members up front.
