Honda has made 6 airbags standard from April 2024 for City and Elevate. The new Amaze around the corner should also have 6 airbags as standard in line with company's alignment.

However, the silver lining is that Amaze has a good crash worthiness built into the body shell which is the most important criteria. The electronics can be added overnight but changing the platform is not a one day job. This should also be a good pointer for other models of Honda like City and Elevate that they have good crash worthiness.

The crash results for Carens are quite poor to say the least, that too for a car costing close to 25 L for the higher variants. Has any of their models got a rating of more than 3 stars ever since they arrived at our shores. Fully loaded feature cars lure most of the buyers nowadays, but high time they also focus on making their cars structurally robust , and give safety the same focus as much as to their features.To me , this is much more important and non negotiable aspect to have have, while driving on our unsafe roads and highways.
