The helmets are designed to be battery-operated, providing much-needed cool air circulation around the wearer's head during long shifts under the harsh sun. The Vadodara traffic police department has already begun distributing these AC helmets to its personnel. Around 450 traffic police officers deployed during the hottest hours of the day have been equipped with these innovative helmets.

These helmets have a number of unique features installed. They feature a charging port as well as a visor to protect the eyes from sunshine. These helmets can keep one cool for up to eight hours when fully charged.

Its cost is approximately 15,000 Rs.
