Re: Owner loses leg after Mahindra Scorpio-N crashes into barrier due to *alleged* suspension failur

Anyone who participated in this thread, and took the 'intelligent' stance :

let there be forensic proof, until then I am not ready to believe something is wrong with the Mahindra upper wishbone joint

I wonder whether they are sticking to their guns even now.

Some images and a story from the owner/driver on what happened and how fast they were going does not constitute forensic proof at all.

Unfortunately, it is not always possible to get a good enough overall presentation of these incidents. Even presenting GPS data on for instance speed can be problematic, due to the nature of how speed is sampled and interpolated between measurements.

So before ai make up my mind one way or the other on any of these unfortunate accidents, I would need to see a lot more details presented, in an unbiased way that shows a real understanding of forensic accident investigation. Haven’t seen that yet on this thread.

We might never get to see such a proper investigative report. In which case, as far as I would be concerned we will never know. I, like many other members, have some thoughts/opinion on the matter on what might have happened. But at the end of the day, it is just that, an individual opinions and or collection of thoughts with absolutely no way of verifying whether they make sense or not.

The bottom line: buy a "safe" car and drive it around knowing that no car is safe in a crash. Put your money in the bank rather than buy a newly launched car...

Real BS of a response from M&M. Shameless and blatantly arrogant.

Hiring the Best Pro Bono Legal Minds with a proven track record will teach M&M a proper lesson.

People looking for Forensic proof: It was clearly destroyed in this case by whoever. Onus is on the company to prove beyond reasonable doubt the safety of the

Another shocking accident of Scorpio N. Steering stopped working in mid of the road at the speed of 80kmph.

Imagine if it was samruddhi mahamarg with speed of 120 kmph and driver wanted to change the lane just before 10 secs after finding a truck in same middle lane. I think all three generation would have been dead.
Watch the video for the full details

Something’s fishy here. The dealer agreed to refund entire amount including the loan interest and accessories ordered from outside!!

I wonder if they already knew that this car would give up sooner or later. If true, very shameful on their part.

Coming to the owner of this Scorpio N - he should have asked his family members to step outside the car and wait at some place safe.

It’s very dangerous to stay in a car that has broken down on the rightmost lane on a highway with all cars and buses speeding by.
I understand the parents are old and the kid is very young, but…… do not choose comfort over safety.

Also, what the heck is wrong with M&M nowadays?

Fishy when the first vehicle was set ablaze while in custody of M&M. And even fishier when the full refund was given so promptly. M&M and TATA need to seriously get their act together, else the sales due to patriotism will soon fade away.

: but staying inside a broken-down car on a highway / in fast traffic is far safer than stepping out and trying to make it to the side of the road. Another vehicle colliding with the rear of the car containing a few people, will cause less harm to human life and limb than if that vehicle were to collide with a human body trying to cross the road.

Right. Allow me to rephrase what I said, “…. step outside the car at a safe time and wait at some place safe.”

I’m sure there would be pockets of time that would have allowed them to safely cross the road, unless it’s a busy highway where a vehicles passes every 8-10 seconds.

In the video, it’s scary to look at people sitting inside the car and a speeding bus passing by.

Its terrifying to see only 200Km driven vehicle face such issue. basically QC was not done properly on such critical parts, M&M must be managing this through dealer thats how they stay out of picture. off topic, the kind of abuse TATA Motors get for the issues, somehow Mahindra and other OEM's are spared even with life threatening issues such as this

Re: Owner loses leg after Mahindra Scorpio-N crashes into barrier due to *alleged* suspension failur

Hello Everyone,

I am Vibhakar Mishra from Pune. Most of you would have heard of me through this ongoing thread.

Keeping this topic aside for a while, I would like to take an opportunity to introduce myself and to express my feelings on how much I am delighted to join this forum. I am an individual with a deep interest in various fields of knowledge.

I am an avid trekker, traveler, and a DIY enthusiast. Exploring new places, meeting diverse individuals, and experiencing different cultures have broadened my horizons and deepened my appreciation for the beauty and diversity of our country and a world outside . I believe that travel is not only a means of discovering new landscapes but also an opportunity to explore the depths of our own selves.

Apart from that, I have a deep interest in machines irrespective of their size and area of utilization. It all started during my school days. I spent most of my childhood in a small locality/colony surrounded by hills on NH33 close to Hazaribagh wildlife sanctuary, regional headquarter of Coal India. The road to my school was a mix of forest and a good patch was through coal mines and their workshop area. I Grew up watching heavy equipment and giant earth movers in action, especially seeing them open in the workshop, whenever our school bus was there in the workshop premise for re-fueling was like winning a free sci-fi movie ticket. This opened the doors to a vast realm of ideas and imagination. This thirst for knowledge always kept me engaged with machines, be it simple or complex.

In my free time, I used to enjoy engaging with my kids in outdoor activities until recently I met a fatal accident due to mechanical failure of my car in which I lost my right leg below the knee. I am very hopeful of pushing my physical boundaries by uncovering hidden potentials within me which certainly will bring me a profound sense of joy, confidence and fulfillment again.

There are a lot more facts and details around this accident which I will share in my subsequent posts. With my current medical condition and not having a prosthetic leg doesn’t allow me to sit longer. So excuse me for now.

I am excited to be a part of this forum, where I hope to connect with like-minded individuals, share knowledge, and engage in meaningful discussions. I believe that collective intelligence and diverse perspectives can lead us to new insights and solutions.

Thank you for having me, and I look forward to our interactions!

Warm regards,
Vibhakar Mishra aka HORNET 😊

Thanks for joining Sir, what happened was a tragedy of gigantic proportions, you can talk about it when you deem right

As for me, I own a Z2, I completed 13,500 kilometres in 6 months. After I read about your issue a fear psychosis has gripped me, I have stopped using the vehicle and it has hardly run 100 kilometres in 6 months. Nothing wrong with the vehicle. I have been on Shell diesel from Day 1, sometimes paying Rs.136 per litre! My vehicle has yet to give the regeneration warning and I attribute it to Shell.

A friend drove the vehicle in traffic and guess he was not releasing the clutch as it should be, the clutch heated up and shifting became hard, after the clutch cooled, everything was back to normal

Mishraji, welcome to TBHP the pleasure should be ours to have you in our midst despite the tragedy and your fortitude to engage with us, like minded individuals.

Hazaribagh is indeed beautiful, my wife and family were regular visitors during their childhood, shalporni being their favourite...
Her uncle had a house on the highway opposite the circuit house.

I had an opportunity to visit Hazaribagh and its vicinity in 2017 along with them. Breathtaking natural beauty.
