Finally, much awaited test results are out! Tata Safari and Harrier have scored a full 5 stars in GNCAP Test for adult(33.05 out of 34) as well as child protection(45 out of 49) putting down all the skepticism regarding unstable structure. Good to see a competition among all the competitors for safety. Hope the new Nexon is tested too.

Re: Tata Safari and Harrier Score full 5 star Rating in GNCAP

This is good news indeed. I guess all of Tata cars have minimum 4 star NCAP ratings. I had hoped they would enter the Seltos/Creta range as well, but looks like Tata has decided to skip that segment. Would have been good to have a 5 star NCAP rating in that segment with Seltos/Creta managing just 3.

I will all the best to Tata

They will with the new Currvv SUV coming early next year. Hopefully it will be 5 star rated from Day 1.

That is some news. Though it was pretty obvious considering the tank-like-built of the Harrier & Safari, finally getting it certified is the best thing for Tata.

This is really good news. Puts some pressure now on Korean makers to test and certify their status. Maruti will never feel the pressure since they follow the laws of land diligently

On the side barrier test, did it flip over ? Had seen similar result with XUV 700 too.

Re: Tata Safari and Harrier Score full 5 star Rating in GNCAP

WOW! That's a solid 5 stars! Excellent numbers! Better than any car tested so far by GNACP. Kudos Tata! This is big achievement considering the infamous Fiat 2L engine which has rumored manufacturing flaw wherein the oil filter assembly enters cabin when a crash happens and will impact safety. Way to go Tata!

Congratulations TATA!

Now the chink from the armour is totally removed.

These results will silence a lot of critics.

A true competition to XUV 7OO.

Re: Rumour: Tata Harrier & Safari to be GNCAP-tested later in 2022

Update:
The facelifted Harrier and Safari twins have been crash tested by Global NCAP, and are among the last cars to be tested under GNCAP's programme, before the implementation of Bharat NCAP.

They've scored 5 stars for both adult as well as child protection. A mega result for TaMo.

Mod Note:
Kindly move the post to the correct thread.

That's wonderful news.

Does that mean the 6 airbags pre 2023 models are not 5 star rated?

Re: 2023 Tata Harrier, Safari score a 5-star rating in Global NCAP crash test

Kudos to Tata . A bit late but well worth the wait. This is especially commendable since these have been tested after the GNCAP has been made more stringent. No doubt the Safari and Harrier offer a complete package now!

Edit : With these crash tests, Safari and Harrier have become the highest rated cars in the latest GNCAP Crash test!

Wow! Congratulations to Tata on this. They truly deserve to be appreciated because it is Tata who started adding security in their campaign and people started considering security as one of the major aspects while buying cars.

I believe those all were rumors. Crash tests are performed on the base variant which is equipped with 6 airbags rather than 7. And even after that scoring five stars with one of the highest scores is simply amazing. Take a bow TATA motors for spearheading the safety quotient in cars.

Re: 2023 Tata Harrier, Safari score a 5-star rating in Global NCAP crash test

Good performance from the twins, now very little separates the Safari from the XUV 7OO. Should be interesting to watch the sales figures.

P.S : Child dummy's leg can be seen flying off at 0.41 mark. Not sure if it has any impact on the ratings. Just an observation.
