Mahindra achieves ‘Safer Choice’ award for the XUV700

Mahindra has achieved its second ‘Safer Choice’ Award this time for the XUV 700.

The Award is only available to automakers achieving high levels of safety performance (*).

In November 2021 the XUV 700 was rated with five stars for adult occupant protection and four stars for child occupant protection. It had one of the highest combined occupant safety ratings of any car tested in the #SaferCarsForIndia campaign.

Mahindra voluntarily submitted the XUV 700 for further testing, with the model meeting both pedestrian protection and ESC requirements.

Bravo M&M. This is truly another feather in their cap.

A few of my friends have recently bought an XUV700, and I must say the car looks fab! The interiors too ooze coziness. Had it not been for my low mileage I would have gotten one too!

M&M is delivering what we expect from Hyundai.

Congrats to Mahindra . The XUV700 is a benchmark product. Let's also not forget the XUV300's 5-star safety rating & the Thar's (surprising for a Jeep) 4-star rating. Great to see our homeboys leading the safety charge. Now, will Tata please get the Harrier & Safari GNCAP-tested?

Feel proud to be owning one of their products. The build quality and overall fit and finish is highly appreciated. TATA, M&M definitely have a great future given the products and safety importance they give to their line up.

This is just amazing. Feels extremely proud to see Mahindra achieving highest levels in all the areas they’re laying their hands on! Shows how meticulously they plan their products before they’re launched. Something which Tata is lacking at the moment with their flagships that is the finesse! Nevertheless, Tata & Mahindra are our proud automakers from India who are setting benchmarks in international waters too! Keep rocking

Proud to own the safest made-in-India car by an Indian Manufacturer. Youtubers and many fence-watchers may criticise the car for its niggles and waiting period but once you sit on the drivers seat, you know this car wont let you down come what may. You feel the tank like build quality keeping you safe always.

It is heartening to know that our homegrown brands are putting safety infront of mileage. It should have been like this from the very beginning. A certain Indo Japanese brand have spoilt the Indian automobile market. Now it is time to reverse the trend.

Re: Mahindra achieves ‘Safer Choice’ award for the XUV700

Mahindra have proven that old adage - "speak softly and carry a big stick"! And I am glad that I've stuck to Mahindra for my SUVs - first the Scorpio and now the Thar. Niggles aside, the feeling of security, durability and abuse-friendliness that these cars have inspired in the family leave nothing to be said.

Mahindra keep going from strength to strength.

Re: Mahindra achieves ‘Safer Choice’ award for the XUV700

A frustrated customer claims ESC is not really 'standalone' optional on every XUV700 variant as the GNCAP requires for the Safer Choice award. A quick look at the brochure on Mahindra's website indicates the same thing. Can someone confirm this?
