^^ It was good that the other front seat occupant was wearing his seat belt as well, otherwise this guy would have fallen on the driver like a ton of bricks during the rolling over of the car, possibly resulting in severe injuries to both of them.
Next time I will take extra care to ensure that the guy seated next to me is securely belted in as well :D
Just saw an accident on the highway just outside hosur on my way to Chennai from Bangalore.
A tempo had collided with a *new* swift, probably happened like 10 mins back, looked like a head on collision and funnily enough the tempo looked much more damaged than the swift.
Also, the driver of the tempo was still stuck inside his mangled tempo with people trying to take him out. The swift on the other hand was parked on the side of the road,no major damage.
Was about to take a pic when i got a call, bleh!

Good that you did not take a picture. Please don't slow down on expressways to take accident pictures.
And the reason for not taking pictures - you got a call!! Drive safe :)

Well I am travelling in a bus. Danger of obstructing moving vehicles is pretty much absent. But yes, slowing down along with picking up a call can definitely have *not so pleasant* consequences if driving yourself.
Oh dear lord! Another one, barely 15 kms from the previous one I posted.
An Innova collided with a truck. Front end damage to both. Gaping holes in the windscreen of the innova with some blood stains, you can guess what that means.
Need to stop looking outside the window and why does this volvo not have seatbelts!!

^^ That is the ridiculous stretch on the expressway where the right lane is actually for slow moving/ heavy vehicles (you can make that out in your pic as well). As a result, heavy vehicles either cut across dangerously just before that point or, worse still, hog the right lane for LONG before that. Poor design translates into potentially dangerous situations. |
Hey Noopster, I agree that this stretch is the most dangerous one on the expressway, however the right lane is not for heavy vehicles. You can see in the pic as well that the right lane is actually designated for light vehicles. I wonder what the bus guy was doing.

Really sad. Horrible beginning of the new year for the families.
It was good that the paper has published a list of numbers for calling up Party drivers. I had only heard of Party Hard Drivers. Never knew there were others as well.

Collapsible Windows as emergency exitslol:
Was watching star news and came across 2 different types of news, one about the hooligans in Gurgaon and other about an accident involving a PCR Tavera and a Swift.Apparently the Swift guy had hit the Tavera which was lying on its side post accident.
Just saw this Honda City (NHC) near Aundh Pune IT Park, involved in an accident with Tata Indica. Could not take pics of Indica as it was covered by onlookers.
This Dezire was speeding at 100km/h before hitting a mini lorry! Again, none was hurt, thanks to seatbelts!clap:
@Anand123:
It's hard to believe that none was even hurt going by the damage the car had taken. Anyway, where did this occur?
Saw this Ace standing on its head on the Mumbai Ahemedabad highway on the 29th.
