This seems like a joke. Even if i do that intentionally, i will fail badly.
Very funny...:deadhorse

Actually I think this was when he took a blind right turn at the end of Thoppur Ghat to go towards Mettur, when going south on NH7. The Bus would've been coming up North on opposite lane and hit the left side of the Van.

How in this world did it land there? Did it jump from the wall on the right or rolled from some other side into the well?
As someone said, even if we want to flush it down the well deliberately, it will not be an easy task.

It will be interesting to see how the tipper is hauled out of that hole!

how the hell did it end up there? :Shockked: i mean, its a snug fit; like some one shoved it into that well!

Jasmeet,

That is very less damage for an impact at 70 kph - only concentrated on headlight/associated fairing etc. The other thing to consider is that none of that 12k is being spent on your brother. The rider can typically fare badly in such high speed crashes. Someone was watching over your brother.

Reversing that well takes some real talent. lol:

analysing this picture, it appears that the tipper was reversing from left to right (our view perspective) and fell into the ditch. There are enough concrete slabs and other rough patches around the well, where the driver would definetly have felt some resistance at reversing speeds. Did he floor the throttle at reversing speed that it climbed over the rubble ?

Generally i have noticed the cleaner, helper and other labourers who un-load the material from the truck assisting the driver to back up. Not sure why there was no assistance in this case.

Two persons died on the spot and five including two children were injured in a ghastly road mishap that occurred at Gadiyara, near Mani here on Mangalore-Bangalore national highway on Wednesday December 7.

Special talent required for this :-) Looks like someone was in the process of learning the reverse gear.

Omni, 6-8 people travelling, NH48, Deaths....How often have we seen this :Frustrati
And its still one of the highest selling vehicles and especially in that part of the country, they enjoy very high resale value.

This is not the way of population control we want.
Without getting into whose mistake it was, I can only say RIP for the deceased souls.

I get goosebumps seeing this heap of metal. i don't think i can see a beautiful as well as safe NH48 in my life time.

A pile up just before Wakad OCTROI post at around 10AM this morning. Two red swifts, an Innova, a Ritz, an Indica and could have been a Figo and another Vista if it were not for my practice to maintain safe distance and my last second instinct to swerve right (as I saw this vista zooming in its size in my IRVM). luckily no injuries for anyone.

Considering that vista's braking distance is around 30% more than Figo's, I thought I was in a fix, but swerving right did help him and he in turn swerved a bit left saving both of us!

The Ritz guy was seen swerving through gaps seconds before he ended up there and in fact he just swerved in right just before he hit the Innova at full speed, his cooling system is a mess with liquids all over the road.

And the Innova is a bully who is often seen intimidating people (I remember it by its registration number 8019), I do not see any mistake by the first Swift guy, he just slowed down when he was rear ended by the other Swift.

Traffic could be a mess as there is a broken down lorry on the left side of the road just a few meters ahead. Sorry no pics.

A car had landed in the Belandur lake, no idea on casualities. Did anyone else see it. Could not make out the make of the car. The road is curvy and people tend to sped and lose control.

Saw this on the Old Madras road flyover approaching Tin Factory. Early morning crash. Some blood stains on ground.

An accident near Janantha claimed a woman's life. Happened to pass the scene just minutes after the accident. It involved a car, an auto and a motorbike. The vehicles were badly damaged. Couldnt make out which car it was since the place were crowded. Saw the bumper of the car (blue) on the side of the road. It also knocked down an electric post disrupting the power supply. On seeing the scene and the condition of the vehicles that it was a major accident. It was mentioned in today's Hindu newspaper too.
Any details?
