That's not just any dump truck. That's a MAN CLA tipper truck. Pretty expensive machinery gone down the drain.

Good to see that high quality material is used for road works in Bangalore complete with ducting for electric cables.

In Dilli the truck would have suffered less damage, as for the cables they are left snaking along the outside walls of the parapet.

Not at all. This road can be called as a busy road which runs from town to town starting from southern tip of Kerala till Cherthala. Some of the smaller roads in Kerala are much much peaceful to drive on. Adding to the advantage, more mileage, higher average speed and comfortable journey.

I still did not get why those people are looking down the flyover curiously. Specially that guy who is walking with his helmet on.

Saw this car lying on the service road near Nagwara Signal ORR. Don't have the details. Looks like a Old Honda City to me.

This idiot also killed one puppy and injured quite a few animals and caused damage worth Rs 6-10 lakhs to the Fredicoes animal shelter under the flyover. Not content with killing humans, drunk drivers now drive into animal shelters.

I read about this on your page.

There's a special place in hell reserved for such guys.
and at this rate, they'll end up there soon.

And the really messed up part is, how much longer/harder an org like friendicos will have to work to raise that much money to fix/replace all material things.
as it is, there are not a lot of places that can support animals in this manner.

the drunk buggers should be made work in the sun to fix everything, lose all their savings to recover costs, and THEN sent off to jail!

mayankk; I totally agree with you on this. Unfortunately:
- that insensitive moron wont care two hoots for the death & injuries he has caused to those poor animals.
- and neither does our law. The article says something about questioning the facts put up by the NGO. At the end of the day, someone will just say something very insensitive to the NGO that is doing laudable work.

They should be able to claim "third party" expanses from car's insurance.

Just saw the news on Headlines Today news channel. A white 800 car slammed a two wheeler at Garebhavipalya junction at 6.46am and ran away. The biker had a narrow escape. How the driver can be nabbed? Will he go to the service center to repair the damage?
Check out the link.

Poor people, helpless people get injured in accidents everywhere. Sometimes, the victims are themselves to blame.

What saddens me here is exactly what Mayankk has said--god knows how long it will take for Frendicoes to fix that shelter again, judging by their meagre resources based on donations. Especially in winter when these stray animals need them the most.

What is maddening is that neither the police nor the accident culprits are willing to accept that any animals were killed or injured. Do they imagine the poor dogs would survive without a scratch if a 1.2 tonne car with four occupants inside fell on top of their cages? Are animal lives of no value?

Seriously, as Mayankk said, both the drivers and police deserve a place in hell. Why are they not supporting Frendicoes instead of the people who caused the accidents? Probably because Frendicoes cannot give them what the Swift owners can.
