IF not able to vide the link, find the Pic, the damage is so much its difficult to Recognise, as per TOI its Honda City.

It is an old Honda City alright. The number plate housing on the boot helps you recognize it.

Looks like there were a couple of cars involved in the accident. In the picture above, we can see a Corolla Altis(?) in the background with a smashed windshield.

Actually, it helps for us Indians. At a decending Ghat section on NH7 near Dharmapuri, there are 8 speed breakers. Prior to that, there were too many accidents, typically overturned trucks.

You are referring to the Thoppur Ghat section right? Even with those 8 speed breakers, we still have enough number of accidents cropping up !! I see atleast one truck toppled every time I drive that route. And yeah, there is enough marking in the section to alert the drivers. So I dont understand why cant this be done instead of doing nothing and letting accidents happen in the mumbai pune expressway as well.

@sid1509. This was a major accident. My wife and father happened to pass by this site apparently just around the accident time. She told me that a loaded truck tumbled on two SUVs in a bid to save a Biker. She saw mangled remains of the Bike caught between in trucks tyres. Hope that the poor guy made it through.

Saw a severely damaged Scorpio being towed away in ORR this evening. It was a white Scorpio - mHawk version.

Irony was that the towing vehicle (IIRC, TATA Mobile) also broke-down and the two vehicles were causing a traffic jam on ORR.

i was reading the newspaper and saw this wreck from another direction. it did resemble a city. its a horrible crash. infact, its a surprise that the others survived...

rain brings chaos to Bangalore; sadly, with it brings insanity on the roads! here's a overtaking gone wrong on the Banasawadi flyover.

to makes things worse, bikers and autos were coming on to the wrong side of the road (as always) and completely jammed the flyover for more thank half an hour!

^^ Is Banaswadi flyover the one near NGEF crossing? I didn't see anything this morning 730am. Maybe it was moved in the night itself..

its the Indian Oil Flyover on the Banaswadi road (i usually call it Banasawadi flyover) :D it was cleared up in an hour or so because i could see the mess there on my way back from the hospital.

banaswadi flyover - Google Maps

^^ I call it 'Mukunda theatre flyover' :D

One of the worst junctions in our city - people driving on wrong lanes, narrow U-turn from Byappanahalli, etc, etc.

I have seen N number 0f scorpio's involved in accidents with thier roofs completely collapsed. It seems that the scorpio has the teendency to overturn with the roof not being strong enough to offer any protection to the occupants.

Yesterday in a village near Raipur 4 people died in an accident with a Truck and guess what all of them were on one bike. Actually there was one more person who survived.
And what a pity for the Transporter he will have to fight the suit for years in the court.

It rained in Bangalore yesterday evening for quite sometime, so all the roads were wet and partially flooded in some areas. On my way back home, late at night, I saw a black hatch, probably a Getz, on the Inner Ring Road, coming from the Indiranagar side towards Koramangala, stopped on the right lane towards the median in a 45 degree position, and on the side of the road I saw another car parked with people standing around. Didn't see any major damage, but the black car looked like it lost traction and fish tailed, and probably hit the median.

I can't understand why people drive so fast when it rains.

Today at GRTP (GR Tech Park, Whitefield, Bangalore) there was a car expo, the Toyota Eitos was there.
Unfortunately there were no test drives but this car under went a crash test.
Not sure what happened as we reached the spot after the incident.Anyway no one was hurt, here are a few pics of the car.

@Arkin-- yes it was a display car, not registered.

What is GRTP? And was that the display vehicle?
I'm not sure if the Etios has taken the crash too well though.
