These curves took me also by surprise but I was not driving very fast that day so didn't had any problem.

From the map, it is the 2nd one as I had crossed the Railway station.

Four including three children were killed as a private bus lost control and ran into a bus waiting shed. Those killed has been identified as Khadher of Kozhikode, Rizwana, Kunjamina & Khadeeja. native of Kuppam. The bus was on route to Mangalore from Kannur. Witness said that the overspeeding bus lost control and ran over the people waiting in the shelter.

The accident occurred this morning at Kuppam near Thaliparamba of Kannur district. Angry mob later destroyed the bus. Police has rushed to the spo

This indeed is spine chilling, the person on the front bike was extremely lucky, it seems he almost spotted the 407 and swerved off its path of destruction,

Really lucky indeed for this person to survive.

Got a real shock after watching the video. My eyes were fixed onto last 3-4 seconds only. Any updates on the bike rider, based on conditions that guy might have survived only if "Jaako rakhe sayian, maar sake na koi" stands true.

wow!
this was so unexpected!!
for 48 seconds i was like "lame,lame,lame........."
and then 2 seconds later, jaw on the ground!!

read the comments on Youtube. It seems he is 46 year old from UK, and was on full bike gear and survived the crash unscathed.

I was kind of expecting this guy to be rear-ended or something, but this is UNBELIEVABLE!! Felt as though the vehicle was headed straight at me!!

Should be the red one. Its the first one you encounter after Ambur if you are coming from Chennai.

If you are going towards Chennai, the run-up to the flyover is great. You tend to be in the 120+ as you go up the bridge, but then the flyover takes a sharp unbanked left and then a right.

My friend lost his wife there. He was in his Baleno and it jumped across to the opposite lane. My uncle also crashed his Teana there. Thankfully no major injuries that time. Watch out on it folks.

The Enfield video was bad. I am surprised that the rider got away unscathed.

"Saved by Gods Grace", thats all I can say after seeing the video. Its good he was wearing full gear, not sure if that can save you in such a situation, but for sure can brighten your chances to live!

Was just wondering, is it worthwhile to have a biking suit for regular office commuting (surely it will be uncomforting)? Even city driving isn't so safe now-a-days.

I was in germany a few months back and saw a pillion on a bike with just a spine guard tied to his back. no big fuss, just it! Do we have something like that in India?

Even the sumo took a bad scrape. The guy walked away with a lower leg fracture!

Man, I know scary, but this is something else. I froze for a few minutes after watching this! Classic example to demonstrate it all depends on your 'luck' !!

Clears up two points really well -
1. You can only control YOUR vehicle on the road, nothing else.
2. Safety features (ABS/Airbags for cars, proper riding gear for bikes) are a must. Only then can you have 'luck' on your side.

I was almost caught out on this Vaniyambadi flyover back in 2005 when I was driving through the GQ for the very first time. I was in a Ikon 1.6 doing 120+ going up the flyover and got the tires screaming for grip trying to come out of that insane corner safe!

I used to see crashed out trucks or some debris almost every time I crossed that point.

Saw this Bolero and Scorpio outside mahindra A.S.S,just wondering what fell on the Scorpio:Shockked:
