Hey maybe the Linea was just looking for some covered parking space during the monsoon.
Sorry sight though. However it does not look like any damage was caused to humans.

Saw this accident near Balewadi yesterday.

I read that 37 died in Himachal Pradesh when a truck carrying seventy people plunged 200 feet.

How could anybody survive such a crash?

The parts that I have to replace are: tail-light housing, driver's door and rear bumper. The parts that require tinkering/painting are: rear right-hand-side passenger door and the rear-quarter panel.

Let's hope the insurance company cooperates and I get my car back soon! :)

I think we should all keep the pics in this thread in our minds all the time. I know it'll make me think twice abt my NFS; honestly, Indian roads just aren't built to drive fast. What with speedbreakers wtht any warnings, animals & humans/mules just getting on the road anytime they wish to and any Tom, Dick & accelerator-pedal-pusher Harry given those truck monsters to drive. And, I'm sure it'll get only worse with the economy expanding & more trucks being given to people having intelligence hardly fit enough to drive 'em. Indian roads anyways are the most unsafe in the world.

And I'm so thankful to the new Fiats, Fords & VWs - they have given us a chance to survive. 3-4 yrs back, all we had were those puny tinboxes called Maruti & Hyundai.

there is an article in this months autocar about a 17 year old kid who inherited a volvo c70 from his grandmom(magazine/car model may be wrong,i am just going on memory here,ill try and post a link to the story when i find it.
horrible crash!!
the pic shows the volvo completely,well, "digested" is a word that springs to mind.
broke an arm and a leg, but WHOLLY attributes it to the volvo that he survived.

Volvos are known to be as safe as vaults! They're quite the pioneers when it comes to safety and inventions of safety features! Not surprising there! :)

Saw this near yelahanka railway crossing today morning. Apparently the driver hit the divider and a vehicle both together.

Didnt quite understand how though.

Some guy oversped on the slope downward from IIT Bombay to Gandhi Nagar bridge and climbed on the service road divider, even broke the danger pole erected there with the floroscent danger markings, in the mid-night hours. The chassis, engine seemed to be pushed up and the steering pushed onto the chest. There are rumors of sad news about the driver.





Reminds me how speed breakers and speed restrictions are highly important on steep slopes.

does not look like it happened at high speed. Absence of skid marks indicate that the guy never saw the divider, probably got blinded by oncoming headlights and hit the divider?
