Anyone saw the toppled tanker under Mahamaya in Noida?

My friend met with an accident today morning.
There was a trail of 5-6 cars involved.
His was the last.
He banged into Octavia.
Pictures at the workshop.
Also spotted a green beat there.
My friend's car is the maroon spark (pictures posted with permission).

Someone changed lane suddenly and came in front of the first car. The first car applied brakes and rest of them followed.

Beat was not involved in pile-up. Its some separate incident. Saw it at the dealership.

As is always the case, some moron suddenly decided to go somewhere else.

Sumit, if possible, do share the estimated repair costs for the same, and a list of things being replaced/repaired.

Any news on the sudden lane changer ? Poor guys had to bear the brunt of his uninformed decisions.

Try this instead:

As is always the case, some morons were driving too close.

I will as soon as he gets the estimate.
The rough estimate is around 50k.
They said, after the insurance claim, he would have to shell out 8-10k from his own pocket for depreciation.
His spark is hardly 6-7 months old.

Oh my gosh! I hope the driver of the sedan survived! When will we have proper trucks :-(

mtnrajdeep : I have seen tractors running with tyres that have been patched with nuts and bolts here in Bangalore too! Somewhere near Whitefield.
Widespread practice in rural areas, not just in BLR. Trucks (local running ones) also often sport such tyres, mostly on the rear.

Was that 2 seperate accidents or did the Indica manage to take off the truck's rear axle ?

It looks like the car hit a stationary truck. Had the truck been stationary, i don't think the axle would've dislodged. Its common practice to speed early in the morning, with absolute disrespect to traffic lights.

Looks like an Accent, not an Indica. It is either that the car hit the stationary truck at great speed dislodging the axle in the process, or the truck had broken down earlier and the car hit it.

I feel the latter is less likely given the scale of damage.

@Binaiks - yes, Accent. Not Indica like I had said. I still dont think the rear axle would have got dislodged from it's bearings due the impact of the car.

Doesnt look like the car has dislodged the wheels...this truck must have been parked on this curve without any warning lights after its tires punctured or its axle gave away ...and this accent driver must have been doing the best racing line on the curve. The driver should be safe if he/she was wearing seatbelts.

This happened on one of the busiest roads and in office hours (9:30 AM).
Its bumper to bumper traffic.

The rest of the cars are guilty for driving too close.
BUT, the MORON who changed lane, that too without any indication, is more at fault.
