Saw this accident yesterday morning on ring road in bangalore near nagarabhavi.
The truck and the car seem to be on the wrong side of the median. Possibly the truck backed into the car entering the ring road from a cross road. God knows what happened!

I am certain that the car seat would not be dry if I had been driving that car. It does not look like the driver would have been injured, but [s]he must have been terrified.

Or else the 800 driver tying out the Scandinavian flick, misjudged it and instead of making that perfect corner exit, banged into the truck.:D

That one reminds me of James May's Dacia Sandero incident! :D

yes, find it covered here 30 killed as bus falls into ditch in Karnataka- Hindustan Times

The picture of the bus. Preliminiary investigation reveals that the bus driver dozed off hitting the boundary wall, then toppled over. The bus was overcrowded. Those passengers who were sleeping were burnt alive.

WOW it's really an eye opener, just look at the cars, Apart from the point they proved it also shows if you double the speed the damage will be 3 or 4 time more, so think twice before you try some high speed driving

Blew my mind too: I had always assumed that adding the speeds was correct and it isn't.

My friends civic in Mumbai. Driver took a uturn at hughes road. Car was moving outside Ajinkya Hospital building (being broken down for redevelopment) . Outer wall comes crashing down on the car. Driver was pulled out of the car from the window. Escapes unhurt. Friend is saved because she got off on the opposite side of the road.

Now after the accident the builder has put road blocks a few feet away from the wall. Ironic that flats are sold for lakhs of rupees a square feet but safety is given no importance

Looks like a total loss. I feel sorry for the Civic owner, he has to pay for this when it wasnt even his fault.

At least 30 people, including 10 children, were charred to death when the bus they were travelling in fell into a roadside pit and caught fire in the early hours of Sunday in Karnataka's Chitradurga district, police said.

That Civic is gone for good!! :(
Lucky souls both of them.
Has your friend filed a complaint against the builder yet??

here is the video coverage of the Chitradurga accident, very sad.
