That is disastrous, maybe it got flicked by a rock while doing high speeds, any idea about the injuries ?

I hope no one was inside it.

Nobody was around to give an authentic account, looked like it was there for more than 5-10 hours. There was traffic behind me, I was driving fast to get away from the crowd behind me, just took a corner and this turtle came up about 300 mtrs into me, had no time to stop and investigae, my son had the camera ready, told him to clik and caught it, by the time I slowed to shot it, the traffic behind was on to me, so I had to take off.

harish, amtak, spitfire: In about 30-40 seconds this happened, I also thought it was a Bolero.

This one is an encouraging incident that happened in UK. We do not get the chance to see such in our country, where the trouble mongers & even the police-wallahs are more interested in beating one in bigger vehicle.

A "GOOD SAMARITAN" has risked his life to rescue a toddler from a burning car. The man, whose identity is unknown, saved the life of a three-year-old boy who was injured in a fatal road traffic collision.

Two vehicles were involved in the head-on crash in the Bedfordshire village of Heath and Reach.

The driver of a dark blue Vauxhall Astra was pronounced dead at the scene while the toddler, who was a passenger in the same car, was taken to Luton and Dunstable Hospital.

The driver of the other vehicle, a white Volkswagen van, was seriously injured and was airlifted to the Royal London Hospital, Bedfordshire Police said.

A spokeswoman said: "The 'Good Samaritan' was in another car and may have witnessed the collision before risking his own life to save the young boy from the burning Astra.

"Once free of the wreckage, he passed the toddler to a woman who also witnessed the incident and happened to be an off-duty nurse, before continuing on his way without leaving any contact details."

The force is appealing for him to contact them.

He is described only as an "older" man.

Pc Andy Carter, from the collision investigation unit, said: "The act of bravery shown by this man is astonishing.

"The fact that he then carried on his way without a thought for himself is even more staggering.

"That said, it is vital we trace him as he undoubtedly saved a boy's life tonight so I would urge him, or anyone who knows his identity, to contact the police."

It was a wagon R and driver was a Lady and she was waiting for someone with Car idlling and AC running, and it had a CNG kit.

If it caught fire?,i guess driver, should have enough time to notice and escape,or may be fumes entered through AC and suffocated her?

and the door locking got jammed, she couldnt open doors.

Wonder why should door locking get jammed, it should be made of such material that atleast in driver side door it should open, including the door knob (no plastic to be used) so that there is no melting here.

These doors getting jammed is observed very often during fires. Why is that?

A man is being hospitalized in this nissan ambulance after his bi-cycle fell off after he was hit by an unidentified vehicle near PM's house at Delhi. That vehicle is unknown and was not seen at the spot.

Could be because metal expands when heated?

A report in today's Deccan Herald:

Shucks! What a way to die. :(
I'm not sure which car can withstand that impact.
Let alone the cardboard Omni.

during rains, i spend as much time looking at the trees as i spend time watching the road when driving/riding! :D you never know when one comes knocking on your head!

few, if any. This would probably have been fatal in any car, anywhere in the world.

Did anyone see the news pictures of a truck, nose down in a roadside farm well? Driver dead, several others injured. Looked like one of those many situations in which seat belts might have saved a life,

crashed swift dzire spotted

The Dzire probably went through a divider or something since the top part of the car is fine but the bottom has taken a big whack.
