Accident in Pune

One of my friends in Pune just send me this pic of His Fiat Linea which he crashed on Sunday, 21st Feb 2010. He escaped without a scratch. There were two other passengers with him. One of them got stitches on his ear and got hurt in the stomach and the other hurt both his knees and also his head and his hamstring tissue tore. I don't have the complete details but I am guessing it was due to a miscalculated overtake, going by the driver's driving habits.

That is a bad crash! Looks like it has to be scrapped. Thanks to modern safety features, a lot of lives are spared.

That must be a total loss. The cabin looks intact.

Is that the top end variant, did the airbags activate on impact ?

That is one bad crash, what speed were they doing? What happened to the vehicle they crashed into?

I guess they were wearing seatbelts since the injuries do not seem as major as they could have been.

Is the car declared a total loss?

The car seems to have limited the damage to the bonnet & windshield area. The roof and the doors seem quite intact.

I have never seen alloys in that shape before!

Got the pics from a Maruti service center here in Trivandrum. a swift totally wreck and ravaged up. Had seen it before on roads. It had glossy dark green paint,Remus Free flow exhaust,K&N cold Air intake, and mindblowing I.C.E in it. had cool interiors with Blue Neons all over it.

The Linea on this page looks in bad shape. The alloys are broken, gives you the kind of impact they were subjected to. The number is also a special/VIP one

The Linea crash is for sure a bad one. Assuming your friend was driving, its a miracle that he escaped unhurt while the others were hurt. The broken alloy wheel substantiates the magnitude of the impact.

Don't know that. Hey planet rocker, do you live here in Trivadrum? Then you might have seen it.

BUt this swift cannot be repaired. It has to be totalled IMO. Only the seats and other parts can be traded. By the way everyone are talking of ZAK's car. If yes then is he alright??

i don't live in TVM. It is Zak's car then. I hope he is alright. I sent a message to him on Or-kut - lets see if he replies.

i guess the front end is damaged. it doesn't look in that bad shape. I think it is repairable.

if anyone is in contact with him, then please keep us updated if he is doing OK.

Found near aakkulam bridge in NH bypass, Trivandrum. Last two weeks saw some traffic jam in this area due to one way traffic through the bridge which is undergoing maintenance.
