even better, no one was hurt here.. we saw the rear seat passenger making a phone call when we got down to inquire about the accident. We got all vague answers but --- that was something crazy..

Check out this link:

It's an accident that took place on Saturday. Look at the description of how the incident happened. Also look at the sumo in the photograph.

1. Happened near a toll booth. They haven't mentioned if it was before or after, but the toll booth is usually visible from a long distance. Also usually there are vehicles right at the booth waiting to pay toll.

2. A lane was closed for traffic and the other lane was carrying traffic from both sides. Again there's bound to be some traffic jam or vehicles accumulating here.

3. The sumo in question rammed into a motorbike, sommersaulted three times and then hit an oncoming pickup van. Along with the above two points, when you read this, you can't help wonder if the sumo driver was trying to fly an boeing aeroplane on the highway stretch. How on earth could he do all this when the speeds shouldn't have been more than 60??

It's high time we take some serious lessons from these accidents.

yep, from the looks of that Sumo, the driver indeed was trying to fly off the road! it's crumpled like a soda can!

Infact we should have this telecast on TV channels to increase the awareness.

This definitely sends shivers down the spine

awareness !!!! Huh!!
There is a saying in Hindi - LATHO KA BHUT BATON SE NEHIN MANTE...:Frustrati
Some Indians need stronger medicine than that.

I wow not to drive rashly ever again. That video moved me.
Thanks for posting Tejas.

That sexy yellow sedan near the end of the video reminded me of my Lancer. Ohh! yes it moved me too! :D

superb video. I hope they relay this on national television. About time youngsters and the rich 'spoilt lot' learn something from this. (no offense meant to the 'financially' sound ones on the forum.)
Bottom line, you can do all you want, but if its time for you or someone else to 'go', nothing will stop it!

The video was just posted 2 pages back and moved by mods to another thread (Wacky videos, etc.) It moved me too :)

P.S : Anyone seen the accident of the truck whose head was inside a slum on the Eastern Express Highway?

@Nitin, sorry, but, for me it meant that:
1) A child can lose his mother due to my rash driving.
2) A girl can lose a loved one because of my rash driving.
3) A family can lose its members because of my rash driving.
4) A Boy can lose his life and cause misery to kin because of
irresponsible alertless behaviour while crossing the road.
5) Do not show off your ride on public roads, coz for many, I will
be called a moron. "Speeding. No one thinks big of you."

So for me the bottom line is:
Be responsible on the road. I know I have 'become' one.

What you wrote and I quoted is the universal truth, but
causing an accident due to irrational behaviour is a crime
like murder/homicide.

I meant, that you can have all the drivers education and common sense put into individuals, there will be this percentage of individuals who don't care a fig about others. Thats the bottom line, miya.
Nothing else matters, finally.
