Its become a mangled piece of metal. The car can only be identified from that door handle which is still intact. This is not looking good.

are you sure that's a xylo? that looks more like a santro (see the steering wheel and door handle). if i'm not wrong, xylo has a 4-spoke steering wheel.

At first sight, even I thought it is a Santro. I am sure it is a Xylo.

That Xylo is just a piece of Mangled Metal :Shockked:

Same here. Sights like this are very common on these roads. I was told that most of the accidents happen due to speeding or drunken driving.

Well, isnt that the reason for most accidents anywhere? People never learn.

OMG! Thats rolled into a metal ball. RIP!!

nope, its not a xylo (unless someone deliberately put santro/i10 parts in the wreck). take a look at the picture.

Exactly, that jangled mass of metal is or rather was a Hyundai Santro. The steering, doors and the door handles clearly give it away.

And moreover a crumpled Xylo would have made a much bigger mess than that.If you look closely, that car is lying on its back, and there's no trace of too much metal aft of the C-pillar,so its a hatch and as mentioned earlier a Santro.

Pretty dreadful though.May the ill-fated occupants RIP.

EDIT(with reference to the post below):Thanks for the visual IronH4WK! That settles the case!

That mangled vehicle is a grey santro xing, for sure. Wait for 10 minutes, I will show you what a real mortury looks like.

A Hyundai Mortury. Rest in peace. We will miss you.

Nice collection but boy that xing on the last page where some foreign nationals died was some mangled mass. Almost undetectable.

That red Verna and the silver Accent right below that don't look so bad! Why are they in the Mortuary? Anyway, that's a pretty sad sight! I see cars junked like this everyday! It breaks my heart!

agree: That's quite horrific! That poor Santro Xing has been turned into a ball of metal and glass! Sigh.

Maybe they are the guardians of the mortuary :uncontrol.

The Xylo or the Xing, whatever it was looks horrible! Must for sure have been some crazy driving, those mountain roads are treacherous! RIP to the dead souls!

@Sidindica - nice collection.. the mortuary looks better than the other dead body if it was a Xing!

:Cheering:bet this is some piece of junk assembled by the govt to put some sense into senseless drivers ... the steering wheel looks like a santro's and it is in the left side of the car anddddd ... it is not damaged ...clap:

a rolled off xylo would never become a ball of metal ...

That Xylo/Santro crash is horrific indeed. Yes hotkar has a point. Like in Bangalore, they had this awareness against drink n drive by setting up a totaled car on busy roads as a display and reminder to fellow motorists of the severe consequences of mixing alcohol and driving. It was quite a success i heard.
As for the Hyundai graveyard, quite depressing. Why are they on an open road and not in a workshop?

How old is that santro pic (Leh road) ? I think I had seen a pic similar to this one on a travelogue of a fellow BHPian.

On the mortuary, I wonder if these cars are waiting for insurance approval for repairing then isnt it risky for the parts may be stolen from the road.
