Absolutely right seems like she has been in 2 other accidents within the past year itself. This sort of rash driving by VIP cars must be looked into as its detrimental consequences extend in all directions sometimes people get hurt or die, other times they cause traffic by stopping wherever they please with no regards to how the car is jutting out or whether there is a better way to park all because these drivers are at the end of the day mostly uneducated and overworked. :Frustrati Shameful to see so called VIPs in our nation relying on such a handicapped labour force and none are ever bothered to correct their drivers’ ways.

This is a little mind-boggling:

A little over a week ago (14-Feb), her car is involved in running someone over.
Earlier today (23-Feb), an accident with an auto
Later the same day, she dies in another accident

We do not know if the drivers and vehicles involved earlier were the same, but the pattern of callous & rash driving is hard to ignore.

I'm sure this is a tale repeated thousands of times pan-India when our politicians take to the roads, but rarely is there such a spate of incidents that culminates with the politician themselves losing their life.

Since the time was 5:30am it’s likely that the driver slept at the wheel.
The passenger MLA most likely not wearing seat belts, would’ve been tossed inside the car which came to a halt after hitting the side curb.
Yet again it emphasizes the need of wearing seat belts.
Also the quality of car raises lots of questions.

Simply that the car in question is not really the safest one out there, not even close. Ertiga/XL6 is a 3-start rated car with body shell integrity that was rated as borderline unstable.

According to news reports, her car first hit a truck, lost control and then hit the barrier. She was in the front row, passenger side, wearing a seatbelt and the airbags went off. The interesting thing is, according to this report, the car was doing 100 KMPH, not too sure how they got that part though.

Yup, all these factors and probably some ego.
We have an XL6, totally unsafe at speeds over 80-90 km/h. Ground effect makes the car into a hover-craft. It is very light and long. On the same note, any options for after market diffusers?

General rule I was re-taught during my Dubai Driving License is - stop ahead and make sure you see the road/tarmac between you and the vehicle ahead. The victim was not wearing seatbelt (rather bypassing it willfully) and the airbag has caused serious head injuries. This bypassing of the seatbelt (clipping it permanently by routing it behind the seat or by using aftermarket clips) is a very serious issue in Hyderabad.

The speedo got jammed at 100 km/hr, as shown in some videos of the vehicle.

She was extracted from the front passenger seat through the passenger door behind the driver seat.

This seat belt must have been placed like this by the person who went inside to extract the body.

There is a video on Youtube where extraction is partially shown. I am not sharing it here.

Looking at the condition of the front passenger side pillars, only a car with a good built quality could have saved her, as airbags and belt did their respective jobs and the car was at 100 km/hr. The front passengers of Cyrus Mistry accident came out safe, their car was doing 89 km/hr at the time of accident, the driver was arguably not wearing the seat belt as per some reports though. However, the rear passengers were gone.

The two frontal airbags were deployed but the damage to the frame of the front side, the serious injuries to the driver all raises questions on the quality of the car Maruti Suzuki XL7.

This is very educational. Thanks for the screen grabs. Even if 10% people learned a lesson from this it will reduce the number of deaths.
