The car entered in the visible zone of the truck driver, he just didn't look. It is the duty of the heavy vehicle to take care at such junctions. In this case, there was movement into this space visible to the truck driver. He should have been more careful. Regarding the Indica, he should have honked and cleared the way. It appears that he was fooling around in the high risk zone. |

TOI reported that the truck driver died but also an incorrect report that the truck overturned after after hitting the median. Seeing the way it turned, I presume that it was not a full tank, resulting in excess shift in centre of gravity due to lateral sloshing. https://youtu.be/XIwa2-n3IO0?t=52 |

The truck overturning apart, the driving of the recording vehicle itself is quite risky. Fast lane changes and overtakings from left etc. |

RIP. It’s a classic example of Target Fixation and a general tendency to swerve and avoid an obstacle vs. braking. The Ertiga/XL6 went and crashed into something that was totally avoidable. |

Not sure if the trucker could have done anything in this situation. No matter, as a car driver trying to merge onto a lane cutting across a truck, I would have waited and not risked such a maneuver. But hate driving on such highways where such road work is going on with diversions thrown about. |
