Just adding some more background to this incident and why so much discussions about it on social media by animal lovers.
The car owner is infamous in the area for driving his Lamborghini and several other premium cars in a reckless manner. There have been couple of near misses with his cars especially with school children.
In this particular instance (as per eye witnesses) the driver / owner of the car was revving his Lamborghini at the traffic signal and this revving invoked the dog (Don) who resides on the nearby footpath with several other strays to go and chase the car, and in the process the dog got too close to the car's front wheels and got entangled.
The driver instead of stopping the car immediately, continued to drive with dog entangled (visible in the CCTV footage) for some 25 meters or so post which the dog got detangled. The driver made no efforts to even stop and do anything to save / inspect the dog and sped away (confirmed by couple of eye witnesses who have reported the same to police) :sadface.
This was clearly not a case where the car was being driven at speed and the dog suddenly came in its the way.

Real painful sight. Driving through animal corridors needs one to be extremely cautious. Speeding is the last thing one should do while driving through forest. Also vehicles are not allowed during night time, how come this guy was driving his Creta during that time?

You cannot do either of these without catastrophic effects to biodiversity. Dragging excavators, dump trucks and cranes and making a construction site in the middle of a delicate ecosystem has far worse consequences.

The current way of doing things is far better - highly restricted flow of traffic at night + a ton of speedbreakers. Forest roads are one of the few places where I'm happy to see humps every 200m. There's no other way to keep the idiots on our roads from speeding.

If this is true then there are no depths of hell deep enough and no fire scalding enough for this man. What a horrible human being

When will they ever learn to be safe on roads!

At least proud of the boys celebrating an Important day rather than wake up late and see netflix and have maggie all day! Be bit more responsible and set a good example guys!

I hope this person takes something away from this experience, and next time, in any situation, he won't pop his head out of the sunroof. I only expect this guy to learn because others are waiting for tragedy. We don't learn until that “one” thing happens to us.

Furthermore, individuals need to move away from the argument that 'I am a skilled and well-mannered driver, so whether I'm in an unsafe or safe car doesn't matter.' It's crucial for people to understand the importance of safety. It's disheartening to notice that even on platforms like Team-BHP, the significance of the safety aspect is not receiving the attention it genuinely deserves. Surprisingly, some esteemed members are suggesting and guiding people towards purchasing unsafe cars. Regardless of other aspects of the car, an unsafe vehicle remains unsafe and is not worth recommending.

People popping their heads out of the sunroof at high speeds only conveys our uncouth civic culture quite frankly. Yet another example of how our society in the past few years has simply accumulated wealth at the expense of civic sense.

The trend of turning an accident/ incident into an advertisement is pathetic. This portal is just one example, there are many.

It conveys the ignorance of simple laws of physics --- or the attitude that such laws don't apply to them.

Bottom line is: in car? Wear seat belt. No messing around.

I think people really underestimate the harm that a "simple" head injury can cause.
Here is a case that I came to know from my student.


After having lunch at the canteen a group of students riding their cycle (no not motor cycle) reached a junction (inside the campus) where the had to stop for the traffic in the other road. One of the cyclist in the group lost balance and this had a domino effect in the group and all of them fell. One among them who was closer to the foot path hit his head on the kerb. Resulting head injury and concussion left him in the hospital for about 2 weeks of which a few days was in coma.

Speed at which accident happend: 0 (or near 0)
Car/SUV/Heavy vehicle/Motor bike involved in the accident: 0
Head on collision with other vehicle: 0

Yet pretty dangerous result. Doctors on this forum may comment but I do not think this is a freak accident. Head injuries are serious and not belting up, sticking one's head out of the window or sunroof like a rank moron is like playing Russian roulette.

In this age of connected cars, I find this feature of monitoring the driving scores for insurance rates a useful one. Something like the one used by Tesla as shown below, they take into account if the driver is buckled/belted up or not, for generating the insurance quotes:

Saw this vehicle in Mysore, being driven to workshop. It was surely rear-ended by a big vehicle.

I am with you on this. I have a huge soft spot for dogs and animals in general. Accidents happen which we can accept. But reading that it's clearly not an accident. The drivers seems to be rich and with resources so I am afraid he won't receive the punishment he should in our justice system.

In NCR this is a common sight Anyone who goes to Faridabad-Guragon bypass road on weekends can spot many such morons.

I have always been curious. Is it allowed to drive such a damaged vehicle on public roads. What is our law regarding this? Any experts?
