I wouldn’t call this as an accident but a mockery.
For people who don’t follow Tamil, here is the gist. A new route was flagged off within Kanchipuram, MLA supporters over there asked Kanchipuram MLA to drive the bus for few kms and the rest is history

Without getting political, a huge accident was averted; people shouldn’t take lives for granted.

Nothing huge I assume. Just a minor incident, some fun can be pardoned. Guess he was otherwise in control. I think he factored in the turning radius of a car and didn’t realise he is driving a long mammoth bus.

This is clear cut case of 'Hit & Run'. It was not a mistake. The car driver deliberately went for the aggressive overtake trying to push away the scooter rider.

In the video the number plate of car is not clear. If possible, please post the number plate of the car.

If foolishness and overconfidence had a collective embodiment, would have looked similar.

I don't think the MLA would have driven any vehicle in past few years and must have been chauffeured around. Moreover, he failed to understand the basic of driving long vehicles, rear wheels will take far smaller arc and driver must therefore start with a bigger turn.

Actually, I did once. In my teens, and it was only for a few straight metres. And, in the unlikely event of being in the situation of that MLA, that is what I would do. It is not only the turning circle and path of the back wheels, but the fact that the rear, behind the back wheels, swings out the other way.

As drivers, sharing road space with buses, most of us know this very well and give space, for our own safety. It's a different thing being behind the wheel.

Anyway, looks like no damage to anything other than ego.

I second that, and such cases should at least be reported to the traffic police website for violations to deter such folks from making such manoeuvres and endangering the lives of others.

Are such car meets actually allowed inside college premises, if they are then the college is equally at fault !!

In my college no student is allowed to bring any motor vehicles inside premises, because these things are bound to be done by students of this age group.

Saw these cars lying on the side of the road while driving. Locals don't know much about this except that it happened about a week or so ago. Seems like it happened sometime late night. This is on a road with some blind turns so could be a case of blind turn overtaking.

Mistakes on Bus driver

• Driving too fast at intersection
• I guess headlight is on high beam blinding other drivers , leading to miscalculation of bus speed by two wheeler
• Not sure whether bus driver could have stopped the bus to a complete halt after hitting the two wheeler. He ran over the Dad & Son after the initial impact, horrible mistake by bus driver

Mistakes on Two wheeler

• Looks like two wheeler haven’t come to a complete stop before crossing the road. He did a rolling stop, which eventually led to less time to react
• Indecisive, his left indicator is on but driving straight, still thinking in middle of the road which way to proceed
• Critical mistake, didn’t look at both sides of the road before crossing the road

Regardless of who mad mistake, ultimate price was paid by two wheeler.
