Yes, the biker was stupid to -
1. Stay on the left of his lane and then abruptly move to the right.
2. Make an unexpected u-turn when a normal person would expect him to go right.

But, after rewatching the video a couple of times, I noticed that the bike had his right indicator on from 0:06 and you finally swerved + braked around 0:11. If you would've noticed his indicator earlier, taking preventive action(only slowing down, in this case) would've been easier. I'm not blaming you in any way, just suggesting that you could've maintained a slightly slower speed + heightened senses on that narrow road.
As you mentioned in the video, there are no auxiliary roads, but I could see plenty of houses and by-lanes along the way. As a defensive driver, one should always expect morons to pop out from anywhere, without a worry in the world. In my city, we barely have any uninterrupted roads so I have no option other than slowing down and honking every 20-30 metres while approaching said blind lanes. It is tiring but that is what it costs to be safe on the roads. In our countries with negligent motorists, it is better to practise defensive driving and assuming that everyone is an idiot rather than going about schooling everyone for their errors.

Cheers and stay safe !

Another day, another accident on the Mumbai Pune Express Way.
5 people are dead while others are in critical condition.

https://youtu.be/eQludDSczek

Video courtesy Midday YouTube channel.

Appears that the Eritga was bearing private registration and was being used for as shuttle cab between Mumbai and Pune

Brezza accident.

Both the front passengers are dead, even after airbag deployment. They were not wearing Seatbelt (it seems). One girl survived. She was sitting in the rear seat. There was one more occupant, who is claimed to be dead. B pillar on the left is impacted beyond belief. The car may be above 100 km/hr for this to happen.

Some learnings: Drive within speed limits. Wear seat belts all the time. Buy safer cars if you can (please don't debate this, look at the B pillar! The Innova with which it collided, seems unscathed).

A family travelling in Suzuki Dzire (guessing from the video) crashed their car into culvart wall while travelling from Bangalore to Hyderabad. Looks like a case of dozing off at the wheel. Car seems to have gone past the road shoulder to hit the concrete structure. 3 adults deceased and 2 kids being treated in hospital.

Don't think the accident is due to dozing off.
According to the news report, its the tire blowout - the most unfortunate of all reasons:sadface, causing the car to hit the concrete divider.

Ghastly and Heartbreaking.

Kids , who are fighting for their lives now, lost both their parents in this accident.:crying

Came across this dashcam clip of a collision between two buses which occurred 3 days ago in TN - https://youtu.be/Dpxl3P6VpWQ

The bus that T-boned the crossing bus didn't seem to apply its brakes. For both the bus' occupants, seeing the looming/impending collision will have been traumatic - leave alone the actual impact; there was so much time to react at both ends.

I wonder if we shall ever see the day in our country when riders like this motorcyclist are arrested for their rash driving. while he should get the medical attention he needs he doesn't deserve a lot of sympathy, IMHO.

If not for CCTVs and dashcam footages, we can very well say who would be thrashed by the 'mob'. And the milords would just be an extension of that 'mob'.

Most of the times, there will be no charges and follow up since one would feel guilty coming out of the steel cage and seeing a fellow human being all bloodied up, even if he was a crotch rocket riding idiot a few seconds ago and it was not your fault. Of course, without any footages the bigger vehicle will always be found guilty in our land. :sadface

And less said about the root causes by poor infra.

When you got 7 seconds and you waste them in honking. Pathetic mindset of the dashcam driver.

Hyderabad Traffic police shared this video on their YouTube channel. Don't know what the rider was thinking and why he was riding towards the left most portion of the road? Looks like both rider and pillion suffered serious injuries after they hit the flyover wall and electricity pole.

Yet another example of 'Always know your limits'. Looks like he was not able to execute the turn at his high speed ? Unfortunately, both of them died.

To me there looks like two elements involved:
1. The flyover seems to have a sharper than expected curve - at least for the speeds which some of the vehicles were doing and especially for the biker. You can see the yellow truck also struggling a bit to negotiate the curve just before the biker arrives at the scene.

2. The biker seems to be trying to overtake the LCV which appears immediately after the biker crashes. Most likely the biker was already doing fairly high speeds, tries to overtake this LCV from the left without judging the curve ahead - of course the curve is blinding his line of sight - and is taken by surprise when he attempts to overtake.

Both the rider and the pillion rider are dead, according to the police!

It appears that the biker was excessively speeding on the curve and ran out of luck and the curve.

Even the preceding yellow tipper was speeding and attempted overcorrection, but managed to maintain its path.

Apparently, close to 50 vehicles were involved in the accident. Not clear if there were any deceased in this pileup. Hoping there is none although pics looks very gruesome.

The aftermath looks like a shot from a Hollywood movie. Something like a Godzilla just rushed through a bridge. Missing the Army and the Air force helicopters though.
