I think the car owner should be punished and how come he can crossing a road by going over a median.
As usual the Bikers never think why the Bus is moving suddenly to the left/slowing and they will blindly overtake.But the bikers should be close enough behind the bus to get traped.

Looking at the pictures, its evident that the so called road divider is nothing but a bunch of stones kept on the yellow line. Its possible that the stones were recently placed and the car driver did not notice them. It also seems that it was raining too, thus impeding the biker's vision as well.

A bit of carelessness and speed led to this.Was chilling out with my cousin at Kanyakumari one rainy night at 160.Suddenly when the road cut to the right we were taken by surprise seeing a Lorry overtaking into our lane .With very less reaction time I had no choice but to crash into 2 stone posts , one electric post, one electric transformer and finally a brick wall which brought our car into a standstill.We didn't even have our seat belts on that day.But despite that and lots of electric cables around us without power.We survived.Anyways i thought i would have easily lost my leg that day crashing at that speed.Guess it was luck and God's mercy that day for us as we survived with no injuries and did not injure anyone else on the road as well.

Vow! That's a scary one! Good to read that you are safe. But what astounds me is that airbags have opened when you weren't wearing seatbelts. Is that ok? I thought that airbags were supposed to pop open only in case seatbelts were worn too.

Judging by the condition it should be.
Its good people survived but when will we learn not to exceed 100kmph in India and in rainy season i guess above 60kmph is asking for trouble.

Thank god nothing happened. No offense mate, but imagine some innocent bystander who might have been hurt/killed for no fault of his. 160 Kmph is for Autobahn (at-least closed circuit roads like Mumbai-Pune E.Way) not Kanyakumari.

I cant help noticing the fact that vast number of accidents caused in India involve learned people who are well aware of the perils of reckless driving. I love my country, yet i cant stop myself from commenting that a large chunk of the educated community are such hypocrites - We think we are always in control of our vehicle and are born racers. We never seem to think of that one second where a tyre could burst or some child could come running into the road or some reckless lorry might sewer into our path. Am not saying that such incident wont stop happening when we drive at 60 but it surely does bring down the effect of consequences down by a far margin.

I appreciate the fact you owned up to your mistakes and hope you would drive safe in the future.

Did anyone notice an accident on the Mys-Blr road, close to Blr on 29th night around 9.30pm, it was a red car, look like Swift, fell into a ditch like valley on the left edge of the road on the left towards BLR...dont know how it ended up there. Dasara night traffic on Mys-Blr was so heavy it was almost city driving all 140km. So I guess it was a low speed accident..

Had to rush off because I was late for a flight already..
