Damn that's hurtful to watch.

Mr Gadkari needs to pass a law to get our buses and Autos have seat belts. If she was buckled up this would be only a near miss.

What can we do about these morons who don't give indicators and if they do they just take the turn without checking side mirrors thinking they own the road and others will watch out.

Plus these Autos who keep driving in main lane at speeds which in such situations would be deadly.

Did not understand how the car tyre would end up having exactly twice the initial speed of the car? Where would it get this "whack" from? Breaking the bolts would need energy, won't that take way some of the "whack"?

The underlying physics is basically the law of conservation of angular momentum. Consider two points in time, one just before and the other just after the instant of separation. The law says that the angular momenta at these two instants have to be the same. The pre-separation moment of inertia is proportional to the complete vehicle's size but the post-separation one depends only on the wheel's which is much smaller. Therefore to conserve angular momentum the post-separation angular velocity has to be much larger.

It won't be twice, though. But it's been 20-30 years that I might be wrong too.

An accident at Maravanthe Beach. Is it new Swift ?

Lucky escape for the two. At first glance it may look like the biker is at fault, but a closer observation it is seen that the bus driver lost his focus for a fraction of a second while waving (guess it is not a hand signal) at someone through his window and slightly got swerved to nudge the biker. But he at least had the presence of mind to stop immediately. The man on the bike seems to have badly hurt his hand.

Both were on a converging path - neither looked to have swerved inwards to the other vehicle.

One point I try to follow - and hope every one does: when passing a vehicle, do it quickly, dont take your own sweet time. But get clear of the other one asap as per circumstances allowing.

If you watch closely, the bike was driven by the man and the lady was pillion and seems she got in for a quick hop. She goes out of the frame, quietly.

The person in uniform is the pillion. Looks like a teenager, guessing an NCC cadet being dropped to school. She seems to be in shock after the incident and moved aside.

It was clearly the scooty's fault. No matter what the driver did, he danced, he slept; he maintained a straight line. It was the scooty which came in its way.

There was no option for the driver to avoid this accident, as the scooty was in its blind spot. He did his best to avoid further injuries and stopped quickly.

No car can help you in case of under-ride accidents. Also, was that container truck parked in the middle of the road? Else why would the car hit that first and then another truck does the same?

Happened to see this video in my random YouTube feed. Scary accident, though it looks like there were no injuries.

The caption reduce speed and watch out for tailgaters is wrong.
The truck was at reasonable distance behind the Etios, the Etios suddenly reduced speed while in water, and the truck could not manage it, yet the trucker tried to avoid hitting the Etios by going into the Median. The biker in the LH lane removed that option for him.

First of all the truck was on the faster side for a water logged road, and second the Etios had no business braking without looking in the mirror, lastly the biker should have stopped to let the two vehicles cross the flooded patch before attempting it himself.
