Seems like there was a gory accident in Bellur Cross Toll gate. Does anyone have any updates? I am in possession of the video (someone sent me over WA). Its too gory to be posted here and I am very upset having watched it and planning to give up driving (long drives).

I know of a multiple collision that happened there a couple of years ago. Is this new?

With KSRTC, it is never going to happen my friend. That guy mostly might be put on some forced vacation and then back to duty.

Curious to understand why? What special privilege allows KSRTC drivers to get away scot-free after a mishap?

Aggressive trade unionism, corrupt, indifferent and inefficient management, political interventions.

Can read a bit here. 2 year old article, but still holds good:

PS: Excuse the OT, just answering to the question.

The driver of that bus was suspended from duty yesterday.

He was arrested by the police today apparently (the news report doesn't say what IPC sections were charged though).

The wayward driving of the KSRTC bus driver clearly appears to be the cause of the accident.

Now media reports are emerging that the driver had deliberately steered the bus and hit the bike. There were altercations between the biker and driver prior to the mishap.

Looks like the owner of the dash cam video is in TBHP and has posted the complete story including more detailed videos.

The rikshaw fellow is at fault (in my opinion). Reckless action of popping in the middle of the street without any awareness of the traffic on either side or their respective breaking abilities

Test drive vehicle hit buffalo on route to Wardha from Nagpur as per my SA agent. That's all information I could get from him.

Hey everyone

This thread has always been an eye opener for me to ensure that we are more responsible and caring when we are behind the wheels.

I was going through the thread and was saddened to see the unfateful and untimely demise of the young bikers.

In another accident that i came to know last week I was saddened to hear about the death of my friend and classmate's 12 year old son who was hit by a tipper lorry in JVLR in Mumbai when he was cycling with his dad i.e my friend. Its extremely saddening. :crying

I see so many videos on YouTube where in kids are killed by people because of carelessness or driving while on the cell phone.

Lets ensure that as members of this forum that we make our roads safer for ourselves and others

Sorry for the late response. I think this is new. After carefully examining the video, it seems like the car hit the parked truck from behind at a very high speed. There was no escape for the occupants. If ok by T-BHP guidelines, I can post the video. Let me know.

4 killed, 7 injured in pile up on Mumbai-Pune Expressway at Khopoli.

Highly unfortunate accident with heavy vehicles ramming small cars on a downward gradient. As per local newspaper , cars involved in this mishap are Swift and Venue.

Other news channel tells different story-

According to highway police, the accident took place around 6.50 am on the Khopoli side of the expressway. The car was going from Pune towards Mumbai. The driver tried to go ahead between two container trucks and the car got crushed resulting in the death of the four persons. Three other vehicles – a car, truck and tempo – coming from the back also collided with the crushed car.

Tata Punch takes a hard "PUNCH". A truck was making entrance from a cut on highway, and while trying to avoid that, it rammed into the side iron barriers. All passengers survived with only minor bruises. This happened on Ajmer Jaipur highway.

Totally appreciate the build quality of Tata Cars.

:Shockked:
Thankfully there were no pillion riders. That would have been gruesome to say the least.

Good to hear all of them escaped with minor bruises. The way the bonnet has crumpled and the car hitting a barrier doesn't link.
PS - Seems to be a new car too
