@ darxide: forget the smashed lancer, i see a red A4 in your RVM!!!
the zen looks as if its a piece of wafer! not suprising considering maruti's 'weight saving' technology to maximise fuel efficiency.
the lancer looks like it had a side impact & a roll over. some rich & drunk moron behind the wheel?

Lorry jumps divider, rams factory cab, mows down 8

TIMES NEWS NETWORK

Bangalore: In a freak accident on Mysore-Bangalore highway on Thursday, eight persons were killed and three seriously injured.

A vegetable lorry, which was brushed by another truck and tried to avoid a collision, jumped the road divider and mowed down a cab which was ferrying garment factory employees from Ramanagaram to the city, and a two-wheeler, near Sheshagirihalli near Bidadi.

The accident occurred around 6.40 pm when the employees of Madura Garment factory were returning to the city in the factory cab. While they were crossing Sheshagirihalli, just after WonderLa, they were crushed under the lorry.

The cab was ripped apart — six were killed on the spot while two died on way to hospital.

Detailed - A two-wheeler trying to squeeze narrow space between a lorry and a tipper near Bidadi on Mysore Road on Thursday evening led to a freak accident that left eight factory workers dead.

Lorry driver Khalid said the lorry and tipper were going parallel towards Mysore when a two-wheeler zoomed in between them.

While the tipper swerved towards the lorry and brushed, the driver of the lorry trying to avoid collision veered towards the right. With the sudden turn, the lorry jumped the divider and crushed the cab which was coming from the opposite direction.

I think the no is 9 person. Oh no again a biker is the cause of the 9 lives.
I also heard that people are so incense that they was not giving the path to reach the ambulance to the spot. It seems it took 20 min to reach the spot from the 600M away.

That is absolutely ridiculous if its true. Can you imagine the pain of those families knowing that had people given way, their loved ones might have lived? I'd run them over if I were the ambulance driver. That'll teach them to block an ambulance again.

What cab was it? The DNA article posted by another member says it was a Sumo. It's totally wrecked as if burnt down. Anyone vouching for TATA build quality? Yes I know this must have been a high speed head on collision so any vehicle will be wrecked but this is the 1st time I have seen one so badly wrecked.

Still wondering how the door could have gotten crushed so badly. Seems like a refaced jelly bean model of the Zen and I am certain there were side impact beams which seem non-existant from the way the door has been bent in this picture.

ASR as per your observation, just imagine a Sumo at 80-100kmph and Lorry from the opposite direction at 60-80kmph jumps the divider and hits the vehicle and this is what it is going to be

Only good thing in the video was in pink.
This is also ok-ish, there was an instance where a nut was trying to drift at 100 + speeds in city limits. I hate tallboy designs. They killed the zen for that

Woke up to see the horrible pictures of the Sumo on Mysore road. Skipped breakfast reading about the victims. 2 fathers to be, one young new aspiring HR executive - the sole bread winner to her recently widowed mother, another a office boy - probably another sole bread winner for his family and the other unfortunate few including the scooterist.

The disintegrated Sumo was such a horrible sight. No vehicle in the world could have probably survived that.

And the whole cause for it would probably be because of one guy trying to get a few seconds earlier to his destination and probably lose them to watching TV. Or a few rupees saved by not changing an over used tube.

We as a society need to be blamed for the deaths of these innocents.

Everytime we break the smallest of rules we should realise to what magnitudes it can affect other people.

The Rs 2 of petrol saved going the wrong side, the 2 mins gained by breaking a red light, the 2 mins saved by blocking that ambulance, the 2 secs saved by cutting across another vehicles lane.

Is it really worth it??

RIP. My heart goes out to the 2 pregnant wives and the all the others left behind by the victims.

Saving grace was he was trying his stunts on a deserted beach which hopefully prevented others from being injured on account of his stupidity..
