Is this TCS or CTS?
Well this is CTS. Ever since I was in the company CTS bus drivers were known for running over people or medians, most of it doesn't even make it to the news.

Thats very bad, AFAIK, Infosys buses never get in to any kind of accidents and the drivers are very careful while driving. I might be wrong, this is the information that is generally believed by all the infoscions.

with you.
In my experience, Sutherland is the worst in Chennai. Closely followed by Satyam in wreckless driving.

Ohmygod! Hope the scorpio driver recovers from that!! I'm thinking the scorpio must have been exiting on the highway and the bus hit him and dragged him to the side. Those pics are scary!!

EDIT: Just read this from the source: "Sources informed that the accident occurred, when the bus driver tried to overtake precariously, without gauging the dangers posed by the slippery road caused by incessant rains that are lashing DK district since a few days."

Crazy bus drivers!!

Wow! That is one crazy accident!

Unfortunate Scorpio! Hope the driver is safe.

But, if there was any other smaller vehicles, than this UV, the effect would have been very fatal!

Wrong. My car was hit by an Infosys bus and had a very bad experience with Infosys transport dept. They just refused to do something about it even though it was the bus drivers fault. The repair charges were 10K.

This happened almost 2 years back in e-City, Bangalore.

To his bad luck , the bus seems to have directly banged on the drivers door. Were there any passengers ?

Just a thought, going by the angle of the impact, would the fact that the driver (probably) was wearing seat-belt contributed to the injuries as the belt would have prevented his body from naturally moving away from the point/force of impact, as happened in this situation?

This does not mean I'm saying don't use seatbelts! I think it is an unfortunate freak accident. I would really like to know if seatbelts hamper safety if a vehicle is hit at such angles and force, by another larger vehicle eager to climb into the driver or passenger seat.

I agree. This is a freak accident where the seatbelts would have probably done more damage. Life's just not fair
