Accident near Bangalore involving the EcoSport. The driver hit a tree to avoid a vehicle suddenly coming from the opposite side. There were 2 people traveling in the car and both are fine. No injuries.

As we can see policeman running towards the crash site, I am assuming that you stopped in support of the car which the bikers hit and showed evidence to the police from the dashcam. Poor soul needs some support, he was at no fault.

I also hope the bikers were fined and were made to pay any damage caused to the car.

I did stop to see how the bikers were. The cop was witness to the entire episode and it was clear to him who was at fault. I did give the Ertiga (the car which hit the bike) driver my phone number and offered him the footage.

Looks like some college students enjoying their ride all the way from College to home. I don't understand how these educated morons will survive in future with this attitude.

Also if observed carefully, at the start of the video you can see an Activa guy driving one handed(probably using mobile) with a kid behind him and then takes off overtaking from the left of the traffic.:Frustrati

Soon after dropping my kid to school, when I drive back home, I see such morons right from NES junction for the next 3 Km till I take left, all headed to college, riding triple and obviously without helmets.

The Doddaballapura Road has now got too many educational institutions that I never fail to see these stuntmen on their way to get educated.

I pity these college going students and feel sorry for them. Their parenting could have been better.

Darwin's theory of evolution proved here but these guys were from the missing link. Utter disregard for their safety and also for others. Luckily the driver of the car did not get the blame here else the crowd always blame the bigger vehicle. Could hefty fines and jail deter these kind of riders?.

These parents have got their kids expensive 2 wheelers even prior to them becoming eligible to ride one.

This is passing the test of parenting with flying colors.

Villagers come here, early in the morning to sell their produce, usually greens.
They are mostly direct sellers and don't have any shops, so they place their produce on the Road itself. Buyers are mostly the cart vendors. This is a daily affair starting from 4:30 am to 6:30 am. The roads become slippery, when it rains, because of the residue of the greens and left over produce. Oil leaks from ill maintained vehicles, makes it more slippery.

Heavy rains wash away all the residue. Drizzle is the most dangerous.

Well, I consider such riders as potential organ donors.

One hopes the remaining organs are in better nick than their brains.

Motorcyclist hitting the back of car after a failed braking attempt. But what caught my notice, is the way the pillion rider of the second bike trying to put the blame on the car. Seems "the bigger vehicle is always the culprit" rule applies everywhere.

Off topic, but the vehicle involved in the accident is a Skoda Rapid and not a VW Vento.

This is the most dangerous thing happening on Bangalore's roads these days.

A few months ago, I braked in the nick of time to avoid a biker with a girl riding pillion just before the Hennur underpass. Both were helmetless and were nowhere near in front of me with a clear view of vehicles around.

They saw cops ahead on the left side and decided to jump to the middle lane in flash! In their bid to save Rs 200 or whatever the fine is, their instant reaction is to get away! Oh! Vehicles around be damned!

What will we normally expect vehicles around us to do? React to other vehicle movements, change directions if roads ahead split, react to obstacles etc.
And we have learnt to anticipate all of that even with zero indications from the other parties :eek:!

But this is something totally out of the blue. Almost impossible to anticipate as we can clearly see in the above video as well.

Maybe one possible solution is to just become totally defensive as soon as you see any sign of checking going on anywhere ahead?

Unlikely that they are blaming the bigger vehicle. They are blaming the car for braking suddenly. In our country when rear-ended, the vehicle in the front is blamed for slowing down or stopping.
