Very Sad. It is very frightening to hear people are buying these bikes just because they have money to spend without proper training on how to handle these bikes posing danger to road users and themselves.

Most of them have graduates from pulsar karizma and bullets. It's high time government brings some stringent laws.

Another one from Guwahati, I received on Whatsapp.

Its a terrano and a bit bizzare and funny, locals came up with multiple theories, not sure about when it happened though. lol:

A brand new Mustang crashed on the Guwahati-Shillong road. Image received on Whatsapp, maybe it skidded because of slippery conditions due to non-stop rainfall in the area.

Not sure about this accident, but there were several reports previously about alleged intentional oil spill by some towing operators on Guwahati - Shillong road. Here is a recent report.

how in the world did this get up in this drain ? both the sides of the drain are having high walls which doesn't look to be broken/damaged. Did the car fall from the sky ?lol:

The far side of the drain in that pic appears covered enough for a stranger to mistake it for an unlit road in the dark.

Did he just drive all the way and fall into the ditch? I mean it looks like some sort of a stepped road which ends abruptly into the ditch.

Somebody wanted to sincerely prove the saying "dar ke aage jeet hai". :D
But, on a serious note, I hope there was no emergency that lead the driver to take the shortest path to somewhere??

There had been intentional oil spill incidents, but this seems to be a case of rash and negligent driving as I got to know from the same whatsapp group.

This is what many believed happened actually.

People say that the driver was drunk and mistook that drain/gap to be a by-lane and entered at speed and hit the slabs and turned 360 degrees.

One of the few Toyota's whose airbags actually worked.

But this crash is definitely scary. I believe it must have gone under something high, because the impact looks to be taken by the A pillar.

Roof appears to have been cut post-facto, possibly to rescue victims. The damage is still extensive.

Out of all those mentioned, I would say the other main culprit are those Pirelli Summer tires. And i strongly believe the owner may not have any idea about the same. If he had little idea about those tires he would have been much more careful on the A pedal on the wet roads.

There was a fatal accident in Nandanam in Chennai when 2 ladies on a bike died after brushing against a bike/bus and falling.
CCTV footage of the same.

One of my dad's favourite trick questions: "what causes a skid?

After stringing me along until I run out of answers, he told me the real one: the driver.

I dont know if the actions of the bikers were because of the way the Autorickshaw entered into the main road but just look at the way vehicles are parked so haphazardly on a considerably fast corridor (speeds good enough to kill someone).

We have a lot to do when it comes to following even basic rules. We may have cops penalizing cars parked in a narrow street where there are crawling speeds but they don't care about cases like these where it is even more dangerous to park that way :Frustrati.
