U-turn gone wrong :Frustrati. And the gent appears to just drive away :Frustrati!

There is a person (looks like a lady in a hat) who has become collateral damage along with the parked bike. Don't know the outcome but doesn't look good.

Very sad for no apparent fault of hers and the stupid driver just kept on driving.

I'd heard about this incident. The lady has been admitted with critically injuries. And to think that all she was doing was walking on the side of the road. All it takes to ruin everything is one idiot, like this very car driver.

It's a Muslim woman.

The audio (voice of the person recording/watching the CCTV visuals) seems to blame the bus and suggests that if the bus driver had applied brakes the bus would not have hit the girl! :Frustrati

Probably can't drive.

I think there is a chance that the car driver is doing something that I have done, leading to an accident: simply looking in the wrong place/direction. Luckily, no damage to flesh or bone, just metal, in my instance.

Either that, or they just think think that the bus is going to give way whatever. But they seemed to cross the first half of the road quite carefully.

Possibly the driver was so intent on crossing the near-side lane without incident that they forgot to look the other way prior to going over the median line. Happens to the best of them.

Yesterday, there was an accident in Udupi. A SUV enters a 4-lane highway, very slowly, only to end up on the right lane. A bus had to brake hard to avoid the SUV and ended up crashing into a shop. The real crazy part? The local media edited the part where the SUV is turning into the lane, there by blaming the bus driver for the accident.

Here is the original video I got over whatsapp:

Knowing how private buses around Udupi drive, I think the bus was doing good speed, the driver forgot that bus doesnot come with ABS. That said the Scorpio had no business in jumping to right lane at such slow speed.

The bus passengers look unusually calm. One passenger just continues to talk on her mobile as if nothing has happened.

We see so many jokers who take a U-Turn and then change lanes like nobody's business. This was nothing new.

The Bus and only the Bus is to blame for the speed it was approaching on a concrete road and on a rainy day. It was way too fast to be able to control.

Happened on the Parel side of the Lalbagh flyover day before yesterday.

No idea how it happened, my house help clicked these pictures when we he had stepped out of my building.

If you notice on 00:11 sec, the FL wheel hit the kerb and the steering tierod end gave way. One of the potential side effects of white topping road and rain. The sheer momentum of a 10 ton bus and its wheels locked (no ABS perhaps) send it into a drift.

It is very sad indeed that she is has to suffer for no fault of hers. Just being at the wrong place at the wrong time. This is one of the reasons that it is recommended for pedestrians to walk facing the traffic.

My parents always taught me to walk on the side of the road where you are facing the oncoming traffic. Even if it is not a guarantee against a freak accident like this, but you do get a split second to react, unlike in situations like these where a vehicle hits you from behind.

:Shockked:

Whoa! Thankfully it didn't fall down else would've had some casualties! Either the driver dozed off or maybe was trying to avoid hitting something and swerved.

The bus driver is solely to blame here. He had no business going so fast on a somewhat narrow, wet, concrete road. Yes the Scorpio guy potentially got into a position where the bus couldn't stop but the driver should have anticipated the same.
