Actually that's a very good initiative. Glad that they're at least trying to spread the message in these innovative ways rather than the same old "Wear helmet, be safe" which is so cliched these days. +1 to the guy who thought of these ideas.

agree: Instead of millions of statues of netas (you know whom I'm taking about), why doesn't anyone promote this?
Having said that, the ignorant will choose to be ignorant and the safety conscious road users will cheer about the initiative and buckle up seat belts/helmets tighter and go about their business.

Any details of this accident, seems to be a luxury car with TV behind headrests, good that it is a must to wear a seatbelt in Mumbai, else, this driver might had a serious injury. :Frustrati
yep it is a lexus..think the driver lost control..the accident took place at a curve on a flyover..he might be at very high speed coz this isnt a car which can easily turn turtle..car was delhi reg

What model is this? Happy to see the guy escape with his life.
What a pity. The car should have been showcased in the 'Super cars and imports in Mumbai' thread (if there is one i.e.). It found its way here. Good to know no one was hurt.

Its real bad accident and sad to see it in such a conditon.

He approached the flyover's left-hander TOO fast, tried an end moment correction, whacked into the divider and turned turtle. It's only the Landcruisers safety standards that saved him.
Heard that this car was towed away to a nearby garage bt didint find it any where after that...just wondering how much it would cost the owner to restore her back to her original form.

All Indian SUV owners ought to read a book " Unsafe at any speed" writtten a few years ago. Or something on those lines. It does not even take a divider, even if you come up against a kerb sideways at speed, in a sedan/hatch you will bounce off it nine times out of ten. In a SUV the high CG will probably flip you over, just like that. Plus, the size of the vehicle gives you a false sense of security. SUVs in the hands of the untutored can be deadly. As can be witnessed all the time on our roads.
