It's a wide angle pic IMO. |
The Xcent is actually ok compared to the Ertiga in the pic, which looks reduced to a Ritz lengthwise. |

Saw this crumpled S-Cross 1.6 at my MASS recently. My SA told me that the driver tried to overtake a truck from the left and rammed into a stationary one. The car was reportedly at ~110kmph and the driver didn't even get the chance to brake. Both passengers survived with minor bruises. If the story is true, it does seem to be a bad crash. Glad that there were no casualties and also that the airbags did deploy in the Maruti. |

Both airbag deployed indicates seatbelt was used. This seems to clearly demonstrate that even in case of a bad crash at high speed, seat belt saves lives! agree: |

What's more intriguing is that the rear seat (which is a 60:40 split) collapsed and the parcel tray flung forwards. The car was not rear ended and the boot was intact. I couldn't conclude what could have made the seat's fastening latch come off. |
Fifty-one people, including several women and children, were killed, and many suffered injuries on Tuesday morning when a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus plunged into a gorge on the Kondagattu ghat road in Jagtial district. |
HYDERABAD: In probably the worst-ever bus accident in the country, 57 people, including 39 women and four children, were killed and 31 injured, six of them critically, after an overcrowded Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus swerved off a ghat road and hurtled 30ft down onto a valley at Sanivarampet village in Jagtial district on Tuesday. The driver of the bus is among those dead. The ill-fated bus belonging to the Jagtial depot was jam-packed with 87 passengers. It was returning to Jagtial from Kondagattu, the hill shrine of Sri Anjaneya Swamy. The mishap occurred when bus driver Srinivas lost control over the wheel near Sanivarampet. Srinivas, who had received a commendation certificate from TSRTC on Independence Day this year for the meritorious service, had taken the ghat road to save just 2km distance. Srinivas reportedly failed to slow down the vehicle as he failed to see a speed-breaker. When the bus hit the bump at speed, Srinivas lost control over the wheel, resulting in the mishap. The vehicle turned turtle four times before falling onto the valley. It is believed that most of the passengers died due to suffocation as they fell over one another. Jagtial depot manager Hanumantha Rao has been suspended following the accident. |

Sources in the RTC said the driver had reportedly switched off the engine and was coasting downhill in an attempt to save fuel, resulting in the failure of brakes. Ironically, Srinivas had received the Best Driver Award on August 15. |
