An accident took place near Navale Bridge in Pune. Apparently, a truck broke into a shop. Not uploading all the received pictures because of their graphic nature.

Another video uploaded shows the woman in red saree acting weird.Any idea on what actually happened to her?
Today afternoon around 3pm, while coming from Mangalore, some 2kms behind Ujire, saw this XUV and Dzire lying on the road after a headon collision.
Must have happened 30mins or so before I passed the spot. The tow vehicle was behind the XUV and the Dzire was put aside on the left side of the road. There were no occupants inside, but i hope they are alright.
XUV was a Sabarimala pilgrimage vehicle. Bad overtaking is the reason for sure.

The place is familiar to me.
There is no doubt that the Alto was overspeeding.
But the reason why it swerved to the right lane seems to be the scooter rider who made a partial and unsuccessful attempt to cross the road at 8 seconds in that video.
To avoid the scooter, the Alto driver seems to have swerved to the right, without reducing the speed.
But it seems like he oversteered and moved too much to the right, and by the time he spotted the other bike, he was so fast and too late to do any correction.
I don't understand why people do such insanely dangerous speeds on such relatively light and unsafe cars, when they can't even judge and maintain safe braking distances while doing such risky manoeuvres.

There are good drivers and rash drivers everywhere and not intending to sterotype, but just an observation that the number of vehicles driven rashly are much on the higher side on Kerala roads with special fondness to carry out unnecessary high risk overtaking manoeuvres.

There are multiple reasons to this. That said its sad that people are not realizing the perils of bad driving or unwanted risks while driving.
The roads in Kerala are narrow, especially the MC road. The Palakkad - Ernakulam is an exception (with 4 lane highway). If you follow all rules and drive safe, distance between Trivandrum and Ayoor (about 55kms) takes anything between 1.5 to 2.0 hrs. But if you exceed the speed limits and drive rash you can cover it in 1.0 - 1 hr 15 mins. Its easy to guess why people try to cover up for the lost time by driving rash and undertake risky overtaking maneuvers. Supposedly a risky overtaking act done by a Wagon R caused the infamous
Karunagappally Gas tanker accident There were no actions taken to improve the quality of roads or educate folks on avoiding rash driving.
Every road trip to Kerala is an adventure - near misses, accidents in front you; the list goes on.

That is a correct observation, lot of people drive carefully, but there are quite a few exceptions. These chaps drive as if possessed, and throw all caution out of the window. Until and unless the attitude changes towards safety, nothing will happen. The roads cannot be widened and the people have to learn to live with that.

Agreeing with your observations apart from the bit about M.C road. I don't travel much in northern districts, but I absolutely dread the NH stretch between Trivandrum and Alappuzha. Whenever possible I avoid this road and go via M.C road and A.C road even though it takes more time.
Interesting that you mention about the Trivandrum- Ayoor route. I travel this road frequently as my wife's home is just after Ayoor. It usually takes under 1 hour 15 minutes for me without indulging in rash driving - maybe because my home is at Trivandrum city's edge and I can join M.C road without touching any busy junctions and I also tend to avoid busy hours as far as possible.
