@faithless 1984:

I am able to see some liquid coming from the car. That liquid is coming towards left side from the hood. Is it that the car had some leak in fuel lines ?

I am asking you about that liquid as I think you personally saw this incident.
Yes some liquid was coming out from the front side but am not sure what it was.
Didn't stop to ask the bystanders about the whole incident as i was in a hurry.
Just slowed down to take these pics.

Would be coolant leaked when the pipes burned. Anything else would have not made this far without catching fire.

The windscreen's gone! Don't see a reason uless someone from the inside flew through it.

Looks like they made the outer covering for that pole specially as a crumple zone!

yup Santro hit the divider. I don't have a clue about SRV, May be truck or bus. Because SRV was there in the middle of the road. SRV accident occured in the night and santro early morning. These guys seriously don't know their car's limits and ofcourse their own limits. :)

I don't have a fix time Prajesh, may be once a week or twice a week or 5 times a week and anytime. lol:

But on Sat. Nights you can find me there haha :-D

are they more wreckless drivers or the tbhpians there are more active i don't know..

You're right , the BHPians down south are more active in posting pictures on this thread however there are other threads where there are more north indians posting comments/pictures.

I've posted lots of comments/pictures here though:)

First it was the Indica a few pages back and now this?

I've heard of evolution, but this is ridiculous. Car's will have to wait a while before they sprout wings

What is surprising is that the driver's side door is shut. The poor sod driving (presumably) jumped down, and i really wonder how he managed to shut it :S

It looks like a drunken driving case to me considering the way the car is stationed on the divider , i disagree to the fact that someone flew through the windscreen as it looks like it popped out after the car hit the pole in the middle.

Also the windscreen seems to be quite intact.

how did he even manage to do that? Was this a stunt gone bad? Or was there something that acted like a ramp and due to poor visibility the driver didnt notice?

It would be very untrue to say that " It happens only in India" cos i've seen similar accidents on some international car accident websites.

I'm not sure if i can quote the names of the websites , it would have been better if the original source of this picture would have taken pictures from the place where the car flew lol.

That 800 seems to have weathered the impact pretty decently. Must have been a low speed one I would guess.

Thats the thing that I dont understand. The impact seems to be at a low speed (no significant damage to the front side) although the light tower frame seems all cracked. However, notice that the windshield is off the car and has fallen on the road. How can that happen with a low speed impact?

This is exactly 1 month old pic (am yet to find a permanent place to live in NCR!). This was the first sight that greeted me the day I landed in India - a Pajero (identified by my friend who had a longer view at the incident) overturned on the road (not NH-8 but leading to it) between IGI & Dhaulakuan.

car looks like perivous model toyota prado
