Road Safety

I still stand by my way of thought. It's X's car. X's life. Why should I be bothered? I don't care if that person wears a seatbelt or not. I've adviced people to do so, but that's about it. If a person willingly doesn't wear his/her seatbelt, then they should bear the consequences for their choice. It's a free country, people are free to do as they please, they'll pay the fine or buckle the seatbelt before sitting to get rid of the alarm. Live and let live, man. Only thing I'll add is make sure the people sitting in the backseat of your own car are buckled up, because if they aren't, they become projectiles and will most certainly cause harm to you.
A few images I came across in today's 300+ kms. drive. Truck is near Ranoli, Vadodara, Gujarat. The M800 is a few kms. away from Dakor, Gujarat.
Happened on NH-16 yesterday. RTC bus rammed into a NHAI maintenance tanker. Seems like speed regulations for heavy vehicles and public transportation vehicles must be considered seriously!
Was the tanker stationary in the middle of the road watering the plants on the divider?

Yep! you are spot on. Apparently it was crawling slowly beside the median, watering the plants with blinkers tuned on.

Another life lost with ignorance!
May the Rossis and Shumis in roads count this before brushing aside with "nothing would happen to me" or "whatever must happen will happen" or "I have much more control till 160!"...:Frustrati:deadhorse

Poor Merc. Sure deserved a better driver. With proper driving capabilities. To top it, the news article accompanying the clip read; "the Mercedes lost control!" :banghead:
An advocate in Madurai crashed his car on the hotel adjacent to his Office in Madurai Bypass road causing injuries to about 5 persons, 2 of them seriously. The damage caused is estimated as about 60 Lakhs! Previous enmity is said to be reason for this agression.

Not sure whether he was drunk, as no normal person, will do this circus on the road!

Was there any kind of casuality? I shudder to think the occupants in Maruti 800.

The heat has got into people's head :Shockked:
It is scary since even if someone is not involved with the situation. As an innocent by stander or even passing by in a vehicle, the rest are in danger.
The guy did multiple high speed turns on the road with a huge crowd around before he rammed into the shop. He could have run over people and two wheeler's in the process.
The guy was stoned. He did throw a stone :). Emotions taking over sense. And the mob attitude didnt help either. I wish he is mentally evaluated before serving punishments. But being a lawyer he knows the holes in the system to roam free.
Hardly an accident, but a pre-meditated (if insane) violent, thuggish, violent attack.
Agree 100%. That's no accident.
What's with the people crowding the car even after he made many rash and deadly stunts?
