Sad news with Veenu Paliwal! Gosh the media reported something totally different and I believed their version till annoying pop up ads bought me here to get the real version of the news! Sad that a loss due to allergy is reported as an accident.

Folks out there who go riding or driving, we are not a superman or super woman, if u slip, loose your ego and take some rest. Please do it for your family!

All that to prove to their friends on face book that they reached from A to B in X hours. Who the heck cares!! Its these type of people that make driving a stressful experience for everyone else!! Worst part of the thing was that the chap had the guts to blame the Swift guy (who got rear-ended) for braking hard.

Thank god you are safe. Good that you allowed him to pass through else it would have been an unnecessary headache. I have seen so many brats like these on highways who like to brag about their supposedly amazing journey time. Its better to steer away from them and reach Point B from Point A safely.

Sad to hear the news. And it's disheartening to note the sensationalism injected by the news house. Maybe the rider would have hit 180 on a track and posted it in social media, but look at the way a run-of-the-mill reader would perceive this statement! It's no different from the way some vested interests were seen promoting religious hatred soon after the news of the fireworks mishap at Kollam surfaced. Shame on such media.

May the kith and kin of the departed have the strength to face the tragedy.

If you rear-end someone, you are at fault. Period. The only exception would be if the other vehicle had swerved onto your path. The Polo guy is only trying to escape by blaming the other driver.

My car was rear-ended recently by an Estilo fitted with bull-bars, when I had stopped, with the indicators turned on, to turn right at a T-junction ("dead-end" in Bangalore parlance). This nincompoop had the guts to claim that I "applied sudden brake", hence it's entirely my fault. When I took out my phone and told him I'm going to call the cops, he mellowed down and paid up for the damage caused. Though I had to shell out an extra amount to fix it, I was happy that his car's bumper cracked at multiple places and the hood also got visible dents - served him right

Sounds good on paper (or forums), not in real life. On Indian roads, biceps and the amplitude of your voice matter more.

Got rear ended by a bike last year while at a traffic signal but had to apologize to avoid an argument because there were two of them and twice my size. Better to shell some money on repair of the car than to fix an appointment with the doctor.

Saw an overturned auto on the Old Airport Road in the direction of Golf Links - Koramangala side. I was driving on the other end heading to GLBP. Nowadays I take an auto on most days to prevent the headaches of traffic but I've seen that most of the autos have terrible drivers who thrive on cutting off other vehicles, bad gearing which causes the auto to stall or jerk, sudden braking, overspeeding on turns etc. It takes little for an auto to tumble or get crushed when caught in the wrong end of such violations.

Btw most of whom I saw in the city seem to be driving like drunk loons today, specially the Etios/Tavera cabbies and of course the ricks.

She was wearing full protective gear, and probably that's what saved her from the accident. The shocking news is about the injection that reacted and led to her death. I had read about her a while ago and she was never a rash driver.

Surely media is to blame here to spread wrong news. This gives such a bad impression to all about the 2 wheeler riding.

Well,its really sad that someone has died an untimely death, but lets not start reacting against the media right now, what I have heard is that the postmortem has been conducted and the cause of death has been described as a damaged lever, sometimes the external injuries are very minor and the damage to the internal organs causes severe internal bleeding, same happened with Gopinath munde, again I have just heard this and cannot confirm about the postmortem report.

My HOG brothers had reached Vidisha. A post mortem was carried out today. She indeed died due to Liver rupture which caused internal bleeding. She was given a anti tetanus shot and a pain killer, but that had nothing to do with the cause of death.

Also latest information is that they were on moderately high speeds i.e. 90-100. On a sudden turn she was unable to turn the bike and went down the road along with the bike. Got internal injuries. Hence collapsed in few minutes. She always had safety highest on her priority list as this video will show.

Fully concur about the internal injuries part. My friend's 65 year-old (very fit) father went into a coma 2 hours after he hit his head on the door frame of his car while in ang an emergency braking move. He had only a mild swelling at first, but it rapidly grew into a huge lump in 1 1/2 hours time. Luckily they had the sense to move him to an ICU where a CAT scan showed massive internal bleeding.

By God's grace, he came out his coma in roughly 3 days time totally unscathed.

This is why after any major household bumps/mishaps (especially to stomach/head) a close watch should be kept on the individual for any strange signs like sudden sleepiness, swellings etc.

External injuries are obvious but internal ones, especially untreated ones in the 'golden hour' are the real killers.
