No... Please see the second picture and you will know that it was not on the wrong side.

The first picture gives such an impression due to the service road!

pulsar56: Few days back the left side road was closed for road-laying and the left side traffic was diverted to rightside way and right-side (on-coming) traffic was using service lane. So we cannot say that the lorry was on the wrong side!
These kind of diversion pops-up suddenly between Attibele and electronic City due to the road widening and Bridges construction.

Of all the accidents happening in NCR in recent times most of them are in gurgaon and specially NH-8. Might be cos people can cruise on high speeds on this one.

In Bangalore, there is a concept of Service Road which is a smallish road on either sides of the main lanes. There is no specific direction of traffic in them. Service roads are slowly getting eliminated or converted into a main lane. The first picture has the service lane. So look at the second pic.

The main lanes were not closed on that day (and even now). This accident could have been avoided if the big truck had not decided to drive up the wrong side.

Sorry for going OT. The main lane was closed for road laying a couple of weeks back and opened once it was completed. I travel from Hosur to Electronic city daily!

Okay! I am not talking about couple of weeks back. The accident happened on 28th Feb, the date I took those pictures and on that day, there was no closure whatsoever. The main lane was not closed on that day.

I received these from a friend who clicked them. So they are not off google or something. Black Q7 driver lost control and it toppled over several times before coming to a halt. No injuries were reported. Thanks to the AIR BAGS.

The owner / driver was so impressed with the safety and strong built of the car. Had it been any other car, very less chances of walking out without getting seriously injured or killed.

There are over 40 images. Uploading a few here.

OMG!!! :Shockked: Sad to see the Q7 in such a state!!!! BTW which part of India did this happen??

Guessing by the amount of fine sand on the road sides, Haryana or Rajasthan!

Yikeess looks like a goner, the owner must have real deep pockets.

This happened some where near Surat. Thats what i recall my friend saying when he gave me the pics.

I remember him mentioning about some stone involved in this. Dont know if the driver jumped off the stone and then lost control or lost control first and then bumped off the stone.

Even the pic of the stone is here. clap:

OMG. Q7 is really strong. I think he must have toppled cos of that stone only. Sad to see a car like this in such a state. Thankfully noone injured.

The Q7 is riding on incorrect tyres.

You mean those tyres are too lopro or asymetrical? From the looks she does not seem to be a total loss at least from an insurance claim point of veiw (owner may choose to go in for a one anyway) only one side is somewhat dinked and the airbags and some glass thats it.
