From what I could make out, she seems to escape the impact. I can vaguely make out her form, sitting, after the car passes.
If she did indeed come under the car, people would have flocked to her as well, no? No one seems to go to that spot. So, I guess she was ok.
And, yes, it is indeed a terrifying video! A misguided missile, that one!

From the comments, it appears that the driver had a penchant for doing very high speeds and taking snaps of it and posting them on his FB page.
Maybe this was one such occasion gone wrong.

Despite the non-deployment of airbags, the driver seems to have escaped with a few fractures.

This accident took place near adoor, kerala. It is said that the driver was over speeding when a tyre burst happened, lost control and side slammed(right side) into a KSRTC bus.
The roof and pillars were cut open for the rescue work.
Luckily he escaped with few fractures.

The Ksrtc bus,if it's the same one involved, has damages to its left. Can't see the right front due to the Civic.
Probably the bus driver swerved to the left and hit something on the side of the road seeing the Civic heading his way.

Highly doubt if it was a tyre burst. He must have lost control on the curve and wet roads due to speeding.

Real lucky escape i must say. Looking at the impact, seems to have gone on the extreme end of the other lane.

Where's that lady ?

I cannot see her anywhere after the car passed through ! Even with all the dust, I think her saree must have been visible if she had escaped to the other side or sth like that !

To assume she'd fallen in the pit, the people surrounded the car but not one of them seems to recognize if anyone has fallen inside the dugout pit !

Even in the HVK page discussion, many people doubt that it was due to a tyre burst. In the pictures, 3 of the tyres look intact and the only one not visible is the left rear. Many people doubt whether a rear wheel blow out (if true) can cause this kind of damage, if he was not doing insane speeds. Kerala, especially south is experiencing heavy rains (whole day) due to a low pressure in the Arabian sea for some days. This person's Facebook profile also shows speeding tickets, an affinity for speeding, parking perpendicular to the road (on the drive way) and posting pictures of the same etc. In accidents like this, it is easy to blame it on a tyre burst.

Still, I feared to read that the young guy with a bad online record might nor have survived. I don't believe in death penalty for ignorance/stupidity --- well, maybe if it causes loss of life to others.

Tire burst is the most common excuse given to explain poor driving. No ways that one can do speeds to cause a blown tire on this road . This looks like a clear case of having lost control on a slippery/winding road .

Add to that, when tires are evolving every now and then for safety as well as grip etc, it is lame to say a tire burst was the cause. Tubeless tires main purpose was to avoid sudden air loss due to whatever reasons.

Inspite of such a bad crash - its surprising to see the accessory mode lights still on! or are my eyes getting decieved??

The impact on the car might not be as bad as it looks, since the roof was cut open to take the passenger out. Standard operating procedure for fire and rescue teams, also the car had some serious sun roof it seems, from the facebook page.

One of our company trucks carrying stocks, fell of a narrow bridge on its way to Warangal.

Just after we cross Station Ghanpur, before warangal, there is a narrow bridge with almost no railing. This incident happened midnight at around 1:30. There was this other truck coming from opposite end carrying overload of wheat bags. Our truck driver, noticed that the opposite truck is overloaded at a very late movement and went left to avoid it. Since there was no railing the truck slipped and fell over the bridge. Luckily no one was hurt. The cleaner had a minor fracture. The opposite truck ran away without even stopping. 108 emergency services came immediately and were helpful in getting the driver and the cleaner to safety

It took us 3 days to shift the stock from this lorry to an another one and lift this truck. The stock was shifted first to avoid further damage to it
