Yes true. And that means it should be only few months old, since the vehicle was launched in India only around mid of this year.

This is an accident which has happened in Saurashtra, mainly near Vataman or Tarapur. The car rammed into the bus at around 120 kmph in night or early morning.

Received these pictures of a Kawasaki ZX 10R crash near Charoti on Mumbai Ahmedabad highway. Charoti, of late, has emerged as a popular weekend destination among Mumbai riders. With the rising popularity, there came its share of accidents too. It's kind of rare to not hear about accidents on this route on any of the weekends.:Frustrati

In this case, the poor biker went under a truck which initiated a sudden u turn. Thankfully, the rider survived with some not so serious injuries.

Got all the above info on watsapp (therefore, open to correction from those who know more about the incident)

Not so fast .. Iin the upper pic, look at the position of the tyre and compare it with the wheel arch. There is quite some damage to the truck too ..

10 burnt alive as gas tanker explodes on Jaipur-Delhi highway

JAIPUR: At least ten people were charred to death and another 12 got injured when a gas tanker caught fire and exploded after being hit by a truck on a highway near Beelpur village, 35 kms from here, late on Saturday night.

The condition of two people among the injured is stated to be critical, superintendent of police (Rural) Nitin Das told PTI. They were admitted to NIMS hospital in Jaipur.

The tanker, carrying inflammable gas (Butadiene), was hit by another truck loaded with bikes from the rear and caught fire after the gas leak, Jaipur collector Krishna Kunal said.

"The gas tanker exploded instantly with splinters hitting seven other vehicles passing through the spot," the collector said.

One Maruti car, two tankers -- one filled with gas and the other with mustard oil -- and six trucks were also gutted in the fire.

Six of the deceased were identified as Shikha Chopra, Vishal Bajaj, Ali Sher, Radhamohan, Vinod and Raskhool, the SP said.

The remaining four bodies were charred beyond recognition, the police officer said.

Several fire tenders were rushed to the spot from the state capital, said the collector who supervised the rescue operation, adding that the fire was doused by afternoon.

The bikes loaded in the truck were also gutted in the devastating fire, he said, adding the gas tanker's driver probably managed to flee from the spot.

Splinters from the exploded gas tanker also hit a temple and a shop, he said, adding that no one was hit.

The accident caused a huge traffic jam on the highway which was cleared in the morning, the SP said.

An FIR was lodged against transport company of the tanker and its driver and conductor, who fled the scene, under various sections of IPC, the collector said.

There was a horrific accident on Delhi-Jaipur Highway NH8 on Saturday. A chemical tanker was hit by another trailer due to which it exploded. The inferno melted the nearby vehicles and at least 12 deaths till now mostly the vehicles who were in the vicinity of the chemical tanker. Gruesome scenes witnessed after the flames died down with only bones left for dead bodies.

I thought so too when I read the papers this morning, but I don't think so.
There was a picture of the bikes that were burnt in the incident and they were not Enfields.

Unless the Enfield truck was in the vicinity and caught fire as well.

^^ This is from an earlier accident. I have seen this pic posted in another forum on 09th Dec. It was mentioned that incident happened in Gujarat.

As per the post 65 bikes got burnt. Dont have other details.

Ohh Man that's a severely mangled GT. It's still on temp. registration so must have been less than a month old. Going by the pictures, it looks like it flipped a couple of times.

But the Zest cant be started if its in gear and if clutch is not pressed. I think they must have started the car and then put in gear by mistake

Could have depressed clutch and started in gear and not in neutral. Then forgot that car is in gear and left the clutch, in the excitement of checking out the car! :D Honest mistake, but boy imagine the shock on everyone's face in the showroom :Shockked: and the embarrassment along with the shock for the customer!
