Just saw a badly trashed Duster along with a rammed Swift on the Yamuna Expressway... Anybody got more details?

Amazing how in the absence of fog these people manage to collide on the Yamuna expressway. It has so many lanes and so less currently. Still people drive recklessly and manage to end up in such situations.:Frustrati

This drive is supposed to last a week, and is not going to spare SRTC buses from the neighbouring states either.

Though, this is worrying:

"buses were seized when they were about to start the journey from the city with passengers. Passengers were provided alternatives along with full fare reimbursement"

Okay, but where is the accident? Crack down not equal to accident.

Hyderabad: A person travelling in a car died after his vehicle accidentally went over the median dividing the road and crashed into a lorry coming from the opposite direction near Abdullapurmet, Hayathnagar, in the wee hours of Saturday.
Hayathnagar police said that the Indica car was travelling at a high speed on the highway and was coming towards Hyderabad. Near Abdullapurmet, the driver, 30-year-old K Bhaskar, was forced to apply sudden break to avoid crashing into a vehicle travelling ahead of it, which came to a sudden stop. As the Indica car was at a high speed, the sudden break threw it off course across the median on to the other side of the road and on to the path of a lorry coming in the opposite direction.
The impact of the crash was so great that the front portion of the car was crushed and Bhaskar died on the spot. The victim was a resident of Choutuppal and was going home when he met his early end.

Saw this accident while coming to Chennai from Villipuram. There were lot of broken glasses on the road, looks like the lorry braked and spun. Accidents in India | Pics & Videos-imageuploadedbyteambhp1399268105.223311.jpg

I just did that route and saw many accidents en route.

The worst was a huge pileup involving about 4-5 buses, couple of trucks and a badly mangled car (Blue shade like in the Etios/Aquaris Blue of Ford), which was sandwiched between 2 heavy vehicles. :(

And I am sure IT officers flew away after the incident instead of helping them.

I recently read a news about similar incident here in Jaipur where RTO people were chasing a pickup. Both were running in wrong side of the 4 lane Jaipur-Delhi highway. Pickup hit a biker during the event who got killed in this mishap. Both the vehicle - pickup and the RTO vehicle flew away from the spot instead of helping the biker.

Well, at least they have something to write off on their accounts now!

Hope nobody was hurt, even if they were trying to evade tax.

A victim of yesterday's rain?

Or, a victim of not realising that driving on wet roads is not the same as driving on dry roads. Amazing how few people do realise this. :Frustrati

In yet another incident, my friend's Ford Figo was rammed by some unknown vehicle when it was parked outside Lotus Valley International School, Noida. He had gone to attend the parent teacher meeting.

Was it parked in that position? Well then I wouldn't be surprised if someone did bang into his car because the car is half way on the traveling lane.

Even if it was parked that way , someone passing by should be hitting in on the RHS ;)
