Helmets for Kids

Vega has kids full face helmets. I bought one recently for my 5.5 year old Kid. The build quality is good but the downside is that it is not really snug fitting.

I did see some other local branded helmets too when I went to JC road for helmet shopping for my kid.

Vega has a full face helmet for Kids, called "Buds" and I have bought it for my 5 yr old son. Though it is not a snug fit, it is not loose either. Also, being 700 gm in weight, it is not much heavy for the kids and rather manageable and my son is also willing to wear it whenever he get on the bike with me.

I bought it from Helmetdon.in website for INR 1,049 - below is the link.

Congrats for the purchase.

But this helmet is having only one size and kids head-size grows faster when compared to adults. They should have provided some more options.

Yes, they have only one size, however this fits for children with head size 50 cm - 54 cm, so I think it will be suitable for kids of age less than 10 years at least.

I have bought these helmets for my kids of age 6 & 7 years.
it's a nice fit for 48 CM -52 CM head size and the advertised size is 50 CM.

Helmet and paint graphics are really cool and kids have been enjoying it.
Build quality is also good and i have doubt on visor though :(

We had a ride last week and Kids were very comfortable on entire ride and Quick release chin strap is a boon for kids to wear and release it.

Caught this unusual (but absolutely delightful) sight near Airoli bridge, Navi Mumbai; of a child seated pillion and wearing what definitely looked like a proper helmet for kids

Adding to this thread hoping that the practice will catch on

Wanted to share this for more than a year now, just having found this thread now, sharing it before its too late. It merely gives a mental comfort that the head is not bare that's all. We don't know how safe it is. Being STUDDS, we took a plunge more than a year ago.

I recollect only one store between Gemini and Greams Road. Two years back when we replaced our helmets in the same store, we did enquire for kid's helmets. At that time they didn't have any. Maybe they do stock them now.

Now that I have resumed riding + have an enthusiastic kiddo with me, time was ripe for getting a helmet. We got the Vega one which costed 950/-. Fits well and a bit of rooms for kiddo's specs to slide in comfortably. He is enjoying it as of now.

I am looking for a helmet for my 2 year old. Are helmets available that small or do I need to wait for another year or so?

I saw few on Amazon, but the age was not mentioned, maybe it is as per size.

Any good recommendations for a full face helmet will be great.
