Helmets with a built-in air purifier

While searching for a super-light helmet with efficient vents, I stumbled upon Shellios. Their Puros range of helmets sports an in-built air-purification system employing H13 grade HEPA filters.
Has anyone used this helmet? What are your thoughts on it?

re: Helmets with a built-in air purifier

I have not used this helmet although it does sound quite interesting, it worries me that there is no technical information available on the website that helps outline how good of a helmet it is air-purification system apart. There is no information on how much it weighs, whether the inner padding is removable, whether the visor is pinlock compatible, whether it uses a quick release racheting system or a double d-ring secured straps etc. Without all this information even though the price is low, I would not buy this helmet.

An alternative would be anti-pollution masks for bikers - related thread (Anti-Pollution Masks for Bikers).

Any idea how they plan to purify the incoming air through underneath of the helmet please?

My thoughts - Absolutely unnecessary and impractical.

Agreed! 100% better solution.

I don't know how, but taking a wild guess without the design specification. If the positive pressure is maintained inside, air will not enter from below, but it's not possible if visor is lifted. As I said, impractical and unnecessary wannabe invention.

Well, using an pollution may may be an easy alternative and a flexible one too given the covid situation. The same pollution mask can be used to move about in public places after dismounting - eliminating the need to carry another mask.

This helmet though addresses two other practical issues -
a) Prevents/reduces fogging.
b) Has a blower mode to keep the head cool.

My thoughts -stay way from it.
This is due to the problematic fact that this helmet has the LiIon battery embedded in it! Looks like they have not yet heard of battery fires yet.
Imagine having a fall and the crown catching fire!
Wonder how this got a BIS certification?

I thought so too!
I needed a simple lightweight helmet to protect myself from the dust kicked up by vehicles in front of me. The dust/sand gets into the hair, eyes, nose and ears quite freely and messes up the quality of the ride.
Do you guys have any ideas (apart from a helmet)?

"Apart from a helmet?"
Please wear a helmet whenever you are out riding.

Use a ECE certified helmet, wear a balaclava and keep the visor down.
