It was a long message & i was at work so didnt post here but newenough is a pain because you have to open a paypal account. Dennis kirk is the best bet for you because they accept international cards. Bike bandit is useless as they dont ship to india and their customer service is bad. Just remember none of these guys will under-invoice the shipment. So my suggestion to you is onlineparts.

Tips To Buy A Good Helmet!!!

What's the big deal? It's just an ugly plastic (it is plastic, right?) shell that goes over your head, is uncomfortable, claustrophobic, causes hair loss, blocks traffic sounds and stops cops from catching you, right?

Actually, all of that is wrong.

The Riding Gear thread

Its almost as important as the motorcycle you ride. Most in our country makedo only with a helmet, and some try to get some gloves, jackets, and there are a handful who go the whole hog for armour for various various body parts.
Lately, riders have seemed to have gotten more conscious about proper riding gear in our country too.
So, lets use this thread to show off and discuss our helmets, jackets, gloves, knee sliders, body armour, the works.

To begin with, my HJC CS 12 helmet when it was new. It does not have a visor anymore.

Hello Everyone

Let me say Hi to everyone in the forum as this would be my first post.

I am a biker at heart and like many others in the forum dying to get an SBK, sooner or later.

Currently i have nothing but a Yamaha RX 100. And i claim it to be the best Rx 100 in town, Oh yeah, thats the way i maintain it.

Let me stop boasting right now.

@ straight 6 : I am impressed with the riding gear you have got. I am planning to get one of these via newenough.com. But am a bit hesitant about choosing the size. I am looking forward to a couple of tips from your side on selecting the better jacket, gloves and most importantly, Helmet.

1) First of all, i would like to know about how good the Joe Rocket helmets manufactured by HJC are ? I know it sounds weird, but in the website its mentioned that Joe Rocket helmets in this site is manufactured by HJC.

2) How do i choose the correct size for all three mentioned above ?

PS:- I just remember Straight 6's name. I am looking forward to everyones' reply for the same.

Till then, ride safe.

HJC helmets are quite nice for the price the come at, apart from the green one posted in this thread, i've ordered another HJC Echo too.
The cushioning on the interiors is a lot better than the best stuff locally available here, and you mosty definitely can't go wrong with one at the newenough closeout prices.
The only bummer is that sometime back the helmet fell off the bike once, and the visor slipped off, and haven'e been abale to mount the visor on perfectly since then.

manson.

How much are you willing to spend on the helmet? Just remember one thing. Always buy the best helmet you can afford at that moment. Your head is not something you want to bargain with.

Let suggest this HJC to you. Check out all the features.

HJC CL-15 Orbit Motorcycle Helmet :: New Enough, LTD

It will cost you 6.5k including shipping and duty. If you have someone's coming from the US, you can ask them to get it or if not just order it. Remember you're getting it at a throw away price as you can see its original price there. Don't think about the shipping and duty part. You would have paid mush for for it without that discount.

Thanks also, aside from the X-11 I do like to use the Nolan N102 and Arai RX-7. I think Shoei have two types of helmet for the shape of the head (round and the oval type), mine is the oval type.

Shak - some nice gears there, especially the Nolan N102. A very good, user friendly helmet. Did you bring it from abroad? How much you paid it?

I got it from motorcyclegiant the price at that time was around 230usd ('think it has gone down now) not including shipping and tax. All in all I paid around 300usd++. It also comes with an extra shield.
