Perfect fit!
Got a dark visor along with it, ear plugs and a set of eyebrow vents! Not to forget a reflective "X" along with another longer sticker (don't know where to stick that though) :P
Its got the double-D ring chin fastener! clap: |
Thats a nice smart looking lid. Ive noticed that Sparx is quite generous with stickers. Ive seen a few bikers posting Sparx stickers on their bikes. Then again Ive seen people sticking quotes like "Bought by Wife, Ridden like me".....

Spot on Shubz! The first response which was politically correct and vague was received in 10 mins but they havent come back on specifics and its been 2 weeks!! :deadhorse
That makes it two of us.
That makes me fall in line Neil. Silence is golden or does it leave room for ambiguity? - referring to DSG not replying to clarification emails. Including Shubz and I, it makes 3 people they havent responded to in the last 2 weeks, funny or coincidence?
Mods - Can I refer to team-bhp in my email to try entice some response?

I believe that if a manufacturer / reseller has nothing to hide then they shouldnt. By keeping quiet they are only adding to the confusion. Its their loss at the end of the day. As long as PDSG keeps avoiding the question, there will be people like me to sound out friendly warnings to potential buyers.
P.S - That sounds like one helluva roadtrip. Is there a trip log somewhere?

Thanks Neil. There is another sticker - a longish one - do not remember the wordings on it. Will post it tomorrow.

Add me to your list of friendly co-warners. We do not have anything personally against the brand but definitely would like fellow bhpians/riders know of our opinion at least.
I bought myself a SOL helmet . Cost me 5000 bucks after taxes. Very happy with the air flow. Fits comfortable. Will be able to comment more once I use it for a week or so.
Bought it from megha helmets on lalbag road.

I got them from Performance Racing Store - Mumbai. who shipped it to their dealer down here in Bangalore and I picked it up from them. 8500/- The graphics are simply awesome, so is the fit and the quality of liner/padding/visor/fastener etc. Got to check on the noise levels etc once I get to use it (from tomorrow - as I will be getting my Duke tomorrow) ;)
My family of helmet :)
Hey guys, help needed.
After moving on from my RE CL 500 to the Ducati Monster 796, my studds helmet needs a replacement, keeping in mind the speeds the monster can attain.
I am looking to go in for a top of the line product like an arai, did visit the performance racing store in mumbai and did select a lid, damages were 36000 and 38000 respectively.
I am currently in Hong Kong for a business visit. Was thinking of buying the helmet from here as it might be cheaper (don't know for sure though).
If someone familiar with the city could advise me where I should search. I am staying in Kowloon near tshim sha Sui.
Would appreciate help. Thanks.

Could not resist myself from posting the pictures of my Helmet here on this thread. Got a helmet custom painted with Dupont Silky Maroon Color, RE decals and Dupont Clear Coat. The color was selected to go with my bike's color. This helmet is only used during the Ride Meets or Bike Meets. Other times, it is always my Ninja or Full face Studds helmet. |
Really nice work on the helmet, was looking for something similar for my Maroon RE. Did you get the RE decals painted or was it a sticker?
Would anybody know a place here in Bangalore where I can get a similar paint job done for my helmet?

@abhinav.s, I live in Bangalore too, would be helpful if you could share the address of that helmet shop.

Coming from Indiranagar side in the Inner Ring Road, just after Ejipura signal, the shop is on the left side. There is only one helmet shop right after the signal and you cannot miss it. Sorry, I don't remember the name of the shop.
The contact number of proprietor is: Stephen: 9886066047

Hi saptarshi, how is the SOL 68S? I am on look out for a helmet under 5K and this looks good! How is the noise insulation ,air ventilation ? How is the comfort factor wearing this for a long time?
Also is the LED light at the back any good? or is it just a bling factor? |
Well I got the helmet. Turns out That the size was wrong.. I would suggest you got for at least 2 sizes larger than what the chart recommends.
I had the helmet returned to Sunny.
When the correct size came, the Helmet box was damaged and the helmet was cracked. I have returned the helmet last week and now wait to get the money back.
Not sure if I will again spend 5k on a couriered helmet!
Have you bought it yet ? My suggestion is that you avoid buying till you don't try the helmet on in the store itself.
Sol helmets have been very helpful as they can't help the poor courier service (DHL). But I will have to think twice before getting a courier for a helmet !
After years of use of my faithfull VEGA Helmet, I bought LS2 phobia grey.
The size was confusing.
The XL was snug fit, but I felt the same with the XXL.
Finally I picked up the XL still wondering whether I should have bought the XXL
Its confortable, could have been better if it was a little looser.
The vision is clear even at night
The noise dampering is good
Could not feel any air flow with air vents open even at high speeds, is it because the helmet is too tight?
It costed my Rs. 2600 (I Think)

It's good you bought XL, the padding will become loose after some days of usage. In fact, it should be Snug fit only.
Looking for a helmet shop anywhere between MG Road to Indiranagar, Bangalore. Know any place guys? Also, need to know which is a best helmet with scratchproof visor in XXL category?
