Mohd. Azharuddin's son dies in superbike accident

The details:-

Azharuddin’s son critical after bike mishap, friend dies - Indian Express

It was a bike. It was imported, and 1000CC. Not even registered. And they were racing in a no-two wheelers area of six lane highway near Hyderabad.

The lad seems to have bee playing in the under 19 cricket cicruit; so I decline to comment further.

His friend is dead. The deceased lad is only 16. I wonder if such super bikes have a pillion seat.

Re: Yet another Street racind tragedy - Mohd. Azharuddin's son involved

Sad to hear that. Street racing is very dangerous sport. Basically its a cheap thrill to get the adrenaline going.

Hope he recovers but he should never be given a drivers license.

The above thread is discussing this incident. This thread does have the link though to the news.

BTW how old was Azhar's son when this mishap occured. The news says he was played for under 19 team. Does this mean underage driving. The bike did not have the registration plates too.

Re: Yet another Street racind tragedy - Mohd. Azharuddin's son involved

1) From what I read, Nephew is dead and son is critically injured.
2) Both of them were not having pulse, blood pressure while they were moved into the hospital.
3) The bike was Suzuki GSX-1000 which is a very fast and powerful bike. Very powerful machine and for sure needs an experience hand for operation, else these accidents can happen.

IMO, it boils down to self discipline. I had a nasty crash at relatively high speed on my 125cc bike which broke down my helmet. Today my friend saw an accident where a kid in school uniform was run over by truck.

We need :
Extreme self discipline ( learn from japan, how they behaved and acted during earthshaking and days following earthquake )

Even though I pray to god he comes out of this safe, I have no sympathy for either the parents or the kid. Spoilt rich brats. Educated people are the worst when it comes to following road laws. I really don't get what stopped the parents from taking some minute amount of interest in what there kid is doing or what is his monthly credit car bills?

Another young life lost. when will we learn?

Re: Yet another Street racing tragedy - Mohd. Azharuddin's son involved

I agree that riding on a road where 2 wheelers are prohibited is something that they shouldnt have done, but where is the proof that they were racing?.
According to Indian Media,if you ride a superbike you are a racer(sad but true).
Riding\Driving fast isnt really meant for public roads, but it doesnt mean racing.Even the most experienced riders\drivers have had fatal crashes.
Almost every rider who owns a 600CC or a litre class, knows about the power it makes.
The Word racing is overrated here in india, whenever we ride out with gears and helmets, people come and ask-are you racing
Every day there are two wheelers which crash, then no one comes up that they were racing.????

On Elliot's beach, Chennai kids keep doing stunts like these and have seen a few taking a toss. On the way they will pass you from either side at high speed, I give them a wide berth, even the police are sick and tired of pulling them up. I feel the responsibility rests with parents at home, who have to counsel their kids.

They were also riding on a bike that was not registered with RTO. This shows scant regards for the law.

Hi,
I do not agree with you on this point. In fact we educated people are the ones who follow traffic rules to the maximum. These days money has become an easy commodity and has reached uneducated, senseless and concernless people and hence you see people driving and riding violating all traffic rules and without common sense at least and they have no concern for anybody else.

True...A rider with all the riding gears is treated as someone participating in fancy-dress competition on wheels.

I hope he recovers. Many a times I have seen super bike racings on the Road no 2, Banjara Hills (1.5 km straight road but does have ups and downs). It looks very dangerous.

What will you call this fellow and his parents? Educated rich? or uneducated rich? Going by the posts above and the amount of injuries sustained:
1. Was he supposed to be driving on that road?
2. Was he following the speed limit?
3. Was he holding a proper driving license?

Its no surprise boss. Most kids who have money or influential parents are like this. I live in a rich neighbourhood where everyother day I see young kids get new Audis, Bmws and Mercs and drive them like crazy on the Interior roads where you should not cross 20kmph. Guess what speeds they will be doing on main roads like the ring road.
There is a famous reputed school right in front of my house. School kids of 6th class and above get there scooters and bikes and cars and do all kinds of stunts in front of my house on the road. What will you call them? Don't there parents know they are underage and are not supposed to drive. It just beats me..
Its very easy to blame bus drivers and call them illiterate but when it comes to road manners I have seen that everyone is alike. Its just how much common sense and respect for the law you have.

Anyways this is not the right thread to discuss these issues. Lets pray for him to recover fast. Pm me if you need to.

Cheers,
mohit

Very true.
I remember my school in such a prominent place but they had very strict rules for students not to get their vehicles under eighteen.

Fact is people (like me) who have sense can only desire for such SBKs and one's who dont, crash them

Re: Yet another Street racing tragedy - Mohd. Azharuddin's son involved

It was an accident and unless someone saw they were racing or riding rash, we should hold our opinion to ourself. It is sad that someone is fighting for his life and parents are distressed and we are speculating about the cause of the accident and commenting on topics ranging from youngsters, racing and SBKs.

While I understand they were on a road they werent supposed to, I have seen many comments on tbhp and other sites where members claim to have ridden on the very same road.

anyway, lets stop the speculation please.
