DKG, I come here every week just to take a look at this beauty. You've done a fantastic job sir. I'm sure you've earned the respect of a lot of folks in this forum just by this thread. If ever we do meet someday and I'm hoping we will, you must let me buy you a drink.

Sorry for the delay in replying.Attached is a picture of my 1934 chevy which you may have seen earlier also as it has been participating in quite a few events in Delhi since 1996.The manufacturer built qualities of a Chevrolet are so good that after restoration till date I have not done anything major except greasing, oil changes, tune ups and adjustments to clutch, brakes etc.You have very rightly enumerated from your restoration experience facts of reliability to which I give a thumbs up as they are all so true .Cheers!!!

Nice car. Do consider getting rid of stuff that is not original in both equipment/trim and finishes. Car will look sharper

A new top has been made, finishing curtains now. The top has come out really well, will post pictures soon.

Mr Manvendra Singh was in town and I managed to squeeze some time from him to come and see the car. I was delighted he approved of the work carried out.

Hi DKG, please post the pics of the finished car soon.
Wondering why you need anyone's approval, anyone can only state the obvious, we all have eyes and a little understanding and can see the results. Now people should COME TO YOU and ask to see the car. Only wish that it was a more upmarket marque, but I do not intend in any way to belittle this Chevy. I hope the owner gives you a bonus

Cheers harit

Today we completed the top cover (sleeve), tomorrow will finish another set of tyre covers in the same material as the top and then will take a final set of pictures and post here early next week

Just excited to share the car with enthusiasts who obviously will be interested.

Why does the vehicle sport a Temporary AP registration?

Hi DKG,

Congratulations, great quality restoration job, cars look nice with top.

I observed few things, may be still you are working on it, there was no opening from back side in top to view cars coming from behind, usually oval/rectangle shape transparent plastic opening used to be in top cars. From the pictures, the last bow in the top seems to be a little bigger, is it adjustable or it is originally like this. I think rear indicators seems still need to fix and front indicators next to headlights also would be better, the small lights before wind screen is far away if originally these were indicators.

Car looks great and wish you all the best!
