And the Dodge Kingsway, which is now part of a well-known collection in Hyderabad, still retained in its original paint!
Plus quite a few cars of the time- including a couple of Standards! :)

This must have been in the early-mid 60s and the Nizam shown is Prince Mukarram Jah, with his then wife Princess Esra.

My guess is around 1967.

Today marks the 150th birth anniversary of HH Mir. Mahboob Ali Khan, Asaf Jah VI, The VIth Nizam of Hyderabad.

An exhibition is taking place at Chowmahalla palace today , hope someone can go and get some pictures for us.

Greetings,

A pictorial book is being compiled on the vintage & classic automobiles of the Nizams and their Princes, due for release around Cartier event in Feb 2017, coninciding with the Golden Jubilee of the present Nizam Mukarram Jah's coronation in 1967.

May I request for kind support in the form of information, inputs, photos and records of all things Hyderabad (automobile related - like photos, invoices, period adverts etc). You can share via email or mobile.

Pls PM to assist.

Thanks

These are two Napiers that have been restored, but as per Travanacore's post there were at least 4 which were ordered by the Nizam.

The two below, have very similar coach work except for the wheels, one has wooden and the other has spoke wheels , the wings and the hood.

Now the restored Napier has wooden wheels and the one in the picture I posted has spoke wheels, I also thing that the wings are differently shaped.

So is it possible that the car in old pictures and the restored car are not same ?
